First of all, I have to say that this show is amazing. I am addicted to it. I don't think its considered anime though, which is why I didn't mention it. Its considered western animation.

Also, what the hell are you talking about, there are no seasons 4 or 5 of avatar. The seasons are divided into Books and there are only 3, only 2 of which have been released in entirety yet. Third is still airing.

Anime... I used to be more interested in it till I found out how shitty the fanbase was for it. Every now and then, I'll go on a downloading spree and find some series I haven't watched before, glue myself to it like honey on a bear's ass-- and lose interest for three months before finally watching the last three epsiodes.

You can't allow your own interests to be defined by the fanbases of the material. Not only is it madness, but it's slavery to PR, and it makes it impossible to like....well anything. Because just about anything worth experiencing is going to have people who are way too into it, and those people are always going to be annoying.

I used to watch a lot of anime during high school. I read manga a lot more now, but there have been a few series that peeked my interest. The latest series I've been getting into is Macross Frontier. Before that, Claymore and the new Gundams kept me busy.

That is why I gave up Sonic the Hedgehog. I also love signing up on anime forums to post topics filled with insights of mine, such as: "u guiz whach 2 many cartunes, lol" and watch "koosatah bahkaaaaaa!!!!!!" flow in.

Oh, and I enjoy hating things. I guess that solves that. :I

I don't really watch much anime these days. I usually stay away for a long, long while and then watch a single series through or catch up on a few episodes before staying away again. I read more Manga than I watch anime anyway.

This is a random question, but why is it that everyone likes Bleach so much?

1. Hugeass swords.
2. Spirit levels over 9000. (read: Dragonball Z fights with weapons)
3. Boobs.

On a more serious note, I ended up enjoying it. Nothing groundbreaking, but interesting enough with an excellent story arc at one point that ended with a good plot twist.

Bleach was decent until after the soul society arc. Naruto is just plain overrated, too many damn 1D characters. DBZ sucked because of the cliff hangers, but I loved the original Dragon Ball because it was actually about adventure and the bad guys were actually defeated in less then two episodes. Come to think of it, I don't like watching mainstream anime with too many episodes, because the series never ends.

Pretty much how it is for me. Heres a favourite list of mine of anime that could use more attention:

Monster (DAMN YOU JOHAN)
Mushishi (BEST SOUNDTRACK EVAR)
Initial D (the only exception for the 'too many episodes' rule, because it actually does have some sort of closure after every season)
Akagi (HOLY SHIT I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON IN THIS ANIME, BUT ITS STILL AWESOME)
Kaiji (HOLY SHIT I KNOW WHATS GOING ON IN THIS ANIME AND IT'S FUCKING AWESOME {made by the creators of Akagi})
Cowboy Bebop (old favourite of mine, jesus ending)
Gurren Lagan (though it kept getting worse and worse over time, I still liked the early begginings of it)
Pale Cocoon (best 23 minutes you'll ever spend watching an anime)
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
(HOLY FUCK THIS ANIME CREEPS ME OUT, LOLIS EVERYWHERE)
5 cm per second Cute romance, 3 episodes long.
Paranoia Agent OH GOD WHATS GOING ON, WHO'S THE SHONEN BAT?
