Just then he hears some piercing bat squees and turns his head to see the Dancer meandering into the side room and the Dark Man going to her aid. Sighing, Cadeon pockets the crystal and hefts his glaive and follows suit.

As Kyle comes back to his senses, he hears the sound of flapping winds, most likely bats. He follows the sound.

AUGURA, CADEON, and KYLE
ACTION: Join the battle!
RESULT: You can now act in zee battle. Herpderp!

BELIETTE
ACTION: Action > Attack > Weapon > Bolas > Blood Bat 3!
RESULT: The bat you target sends out a one-directional sonar scream, and deftly avoids your attack!
The 1st and 2nd sonar scream and flutter about you, annoyingly. The 4th bumps into a wall.




Blood Bat 1 (This one is the leader.)

I'm changing back to no HP/MP. It will just be a hassle. Instead, we'll use 'Cool-Down', which means you can't use that skill for X turns.
You will still gain EXP and levels, for fun!
Updates: Chears, I altered yours the most, because the statuses didn't make sense for this puzzle-oriented game. Sorry for being indecisive like this...
*EXP:
When you gain EXP, you level up. The higher your level, the more damage you can take, and the more skills you will learn. Skills will be learned automatically in this game, based on several factors (including how you play!)
Each level requires the level #'s specific #. For instance, LVL4 requires 4 EXP.
You will gain a skill every other level, until you have 4 skills. After that you will have the option to learn a new skill in place of an old skill, or not learn that specific skill ever.
The party will gain EXP together, regardless if you become separate.
The Party is now Level 2! (1 EXP Leftover)

Forbidden Dance (Lasts as long as Beliette dances. Causes Stun on all non-Boss enemies.) Cool-Down: 0.

Tackle! (Pushes 1 Target away, causing them to require 1 Turn delay in action.) Cool-Down: 0.

In the case I choose as an action to make sounds with the bolas to distract the bats, is it possible since it sounds like a skill somehow? It was what I was about to do but I re-read you post.
Action: Augura draws his sword and goes to cleave the blood bat (old number 3) right down the middle!
Cadeon readies himself and stabs at a bat that is nearest the wall, thinking that that would give him the best chance of hitting, seeing as how it is up against a wall and all that.

KYLE
ACTION: Wait for a bat to swoop by and chop with sword.
RESULT: Bat #1 swoops, but tracks you with its one-directional sonar, and deftly avoids your sword swing. It then pointedly poops on your head before rejoining his bat brethren.

BELIETTE
ACTION: make sounds with the bolas to distract the bats
RESULT: By slightly hefting the metal balls into the air, you make them clack together obnoxiously. The bats are mesmerised and focus their sonar on Beliette.

AUGURA
ACTION: Augura draws his sword and goes to cleave the blood bat (old number 3) right down the middle!
RESULT: Bat 3 is slain!

CADEON
ACTION: jab at derpy bat 4
RESULT: the derpy bat loses interest in Beliette's clacking as the threat is gone. It sonar's Cadeon's polearm and happily jabs right back. Never realising it is a flesh and blood bat, not a polearm.
Bat 4 is slain!
+1 EXP!
The remaining bats lose interest, and will not be distracted by clacking again!

Cadeon, mistakenly attributing the ease at which he was able to stab the derpy bat to his own skill (and not the derpiness of the bat itself), decides to try to stab another bat with his glaive.

And there, on top of Kyle's head, was the final proof that this was not his day. He wiped the feces from his head with his glove and cursed whatever deity decided it would be hilarious to make his life miserable.

ACTION: Beliette tries to chain the smart one leg with her bolas so it can become an easy target.
RESULT: Blood Bat 2 notices with one-directional sonar and deftly avoids your action!

CADEON
ACTION: Jab Blood Bat 1
RESULT: Blood Bat 1 notices the attack, and swoops around, and karate kicks you in the face. However, you are unharmed because... really...?

KYLE
ACTION: Move to the center of the room, and prepare to slash at any bat that gets close.
RESULT: To your luck, Blood Bat 1 was swooping around after kicking Cadeon. You cut it in half, but it was so scared (and rightly so!) that it poops like a fat man who spent the night at an all-you-can-eat sloppy joe joint. Skillfully you deflect it with your sword, and the bat poop splatters all over Cadeon's front.
+1 Disgusting EXP!

AUGURA
ACTION: Attack blood bat 2
RESULT: As the final Blood Bat was distracted by Beliette you manage to send an upwards thrust and desimate the bat!

The room is now empty. You see again the slim/flat slot in the centre of the room, the exit north, the treasure behind a wall of spikes, and the exit back to the Lobby chamber.
Fighting the urge to hurl, Cadeon cleans the guano out his chest and beard the best he can. The smell is disgusting!
Taking a look around, Cadeon notices a chest behind a wall of spikes. Curious, he goes and investigates. They are too close together to squeeze through, so instead he grabs his glaive and attempts to poke at the chest.
ACTION: poke at the chest with the glaive through the spaces between the giant spikes.

Seeing Cadeon poking the chest, Augura examined it as well. Perhaps it wasn't even locked, and it would only need a bit more than just a poke to open.
