MAFIA HOSTS THREAD

Well, that'd be the thing. You'd be in pairs and you'd have to talk to each other. I'd try it out first with a shorter game - say 5 roles with 10 signups. Each person would have a partner. In that game there'd be one mafia (two) and you'd have to work together to try and root them out. Of course, there'd be no millers or masons or best buddies or lover roles since that'd be far overpowered, but I thought it'd be an interesting experiment.
(Hell I was also thinking a three role game, with three people per role and instead of lynching, you'd each cast an anonymous vote each day phase. Day ends when all votes are in. After three days of votes you'd have one last day to add a finalised vote then that night, the fallout. One mafia, two town. It'd be a very fast game.)

Isn't that basically a mason but with powers?

No, since your partner wouldn't be playing at the same time as you. You wouldn't be able to bounce off each other in the topic, or come to the rescue. You share the same character but swap off during the night phases and only one would be allowed to control that character during that day phase.
Of course, they can read along side you, but they might also be offline when something goes down or you might get stuck with a conspiracy nut or a newb or... but it is just a thought.
Even that'd be interesting, Cave. One person is doctor, one mafia, one innocent. Doctor would have to choose who they'd protect at night. Make the wrong choice, game over. Short, one-day game.
A small series of one-day games would be interesting, all played at once.

what about, a game that I am running, where you are a doctor, and you have to sign up for it if you want to play. imagine that game.
I am anticipating a returning interest in mafia games in a few weeks, so I'll go ahead and put Zeuzio's Mystery Mafia on the waiting list.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Someone should host a Miller's hollow mafia on Chearlie's site. It could have traditional rules like electing a mayor.
I'd play a vanilla mafia game, if there's space.
(but only if ya'll kill me at day one. Keeping up with these is a pain in the butt!)

Ya gotta be consistent man. Either hate dying day 1 or enjoy it. You can't switch between the two.
