i'm here. in a state of emotional trauma and mafia soothes my nerves

- Why on Earth is ivoryjones revealing her role already? My suspicion: she may be trying to avoid suspicion by collaborating with another Mafia member. There haven't been brothers in recent games as far as I can tell so there's always a chance this could be a fakeclaim on ivory's part, but at the same time it's an unncessarily risky move. idk.
Oh, and if she is being truthful, I don't think she should have revealed her role because it means Mafia know at least one person NOT to Nightkill. (Truth be told, I've never understood the usefulness of the 'brothers' power.)

to reiterate,
first possibility: she is scum and trying to make herself seems townie by fakeclaiming mason (the other mason would also be a member of the scumteam) gonna be honest though. I was mafia with ivory last game and considering how she reacted to a lot of the stuff I did I do not think she is the type to pull this kind of move.
second possibility: she is scum and is trying to make herself seem townie by declaring herself as mason. the difference in this scenarion is that she actually is a mason and also scum, but her partner is a town mason.
third possibility: she is a town mason and really shouldn't have claimed.

I'm leaning towards the third possiblity right now. See the end of this post for details.

I am like 90 percent sure that Despite is town because of how he immediately responded to my fakeclaim.

Liberty seems confused...but there's always the chance that she's pretending. Even if she IS just an independent without powers (what the hell), I say we lynch her at least to clear things up a tad.

I'm not really sure what of Liberty at this point. A lot of the things she said later on, she actually hinted at in her earlier posts. PUlling off such a long con would take a level of criminal genius that I am not ready to admit exists in this world. Making such a weird play as claiming independent, a claim that forced her to reveal what is, I assume, her actual role, makes sense if she is a confused townie, which would also fit into her bizarre attempt to pin me as mafia based on moon logic. Not comfortable lynching her but not as uncomfortable as I am having her be a vigilante.

How is Liberty connected to Despite?

There's no reason to believe that she is. The claim that she made didn't say that her powers depended on anyone, and Despite says he has to be alive for someone to use their powers, basically. Liberty somehow thought that there were only two townies in this game. I don't know how she came to that assumption, or how that would make any sense, but I can say that it's so weird that I'm sure she was not coached.

for his weird posts earlier in the thread and saying that he didn't understand how masons work when he has had the role himself. This view of rabitz as scum is incompatible with the theory that ivory is mafia unless their series of interactions was not genuine, but I'm going to assume that ivory is not scum if rabitz flips town.

I think you should pick a code phrase that is not very obvious.

the thing with revealing your role and avoiding suspicion is that generally people will probably take someone who makes a town mason claim immediately day 1 and is corroborated by someone else later at face value.

the reason why I think you should not have revealed, if you are town, is that it diverts nightkills away from you and onto our town power roles. This is also why I encouraged you to have your mason partner claim in a secret way.

A connection to Despite at this point seems impossible unless she thinks Despite has a role which he actually doesn't.

This is why I highly disapprove of revealing roles too early; besides clarifying targets for the Mafia, it just serves to make everything that much more confusing and makes life that much harder for the Townies. Seriously, guys...

Yes, although her kills get less likely to hit the intended target the more she uses them. I do not know why she claimed independent and honestly want to put the whole thing behind us because the only thing that matters at this point is whether or not Liberty was actually confused or just faking. And I'm inclined to believe that she was confused at this point. I'm not sure if it was said how she thought there were only two townies, but I would rather not focus on it.
