You can just add a wall with stairs leading down behind them. That way it looks like you're heading down without actually having to make all the steps and railings. Or you could make something like so:

Mind you, this is pretty roughly done, but I hope it gives you the idea.

This is what I have at the moment, I 'll add more stuff once I can get the train in. I can't find any modern train tilesets, the ones I found are either outdated or small and blurry. Does anyone know or have a good train tile ? ;)

Well, I don't know how or why it frustrates you, but it 's about to end. My mapping is getting better, I believe so... :P

Both of these maps are really gigantic and bare, maybe reduce the empy spaces somewhat and add a bit of furnishing.
Of course they are gigantic and empty, those were only initial layouts.

I haven't even added anything yet. XD

I sorta need some help with the walls and stairs... :P

They look fine to me, am I missing something?
Uh, I am not sure what to add to the area, like plants, or whatever... ;)

This might seem kinda weird, considering how wide it is. Those doors at the top will lead to an auditorium. I am not going to make a library and gym because they serve no purpose.



By the way, I found the train tiles already.

You could have plants but also notices on the walls, or boards with informations, coat racks. Ah, should those ceilings be so large on each side and not just follow , one tile, the configuration of the space? Otherwise, looks good.
I 'll see where I can add info boards and other stuff. :D

I don't really know what you meant here... Is something wrong with the ceilings ?

Update :

This is my train station interior map at the moment. What else should I put at the top ? I have tiles for ticket machines and departure boards, ect... :D I wanna make sure this design is fine first before I add more stuff.



The floor seems a bit ugly so I might change it.

I think the ceiling of the school should be one tile above the classrooms, and not go all the way above the wall giving on the auditorium but follow that space left and right, one tile always, seeing that space is not higher up, it gives a wrong perspective, in fact it should even cut the stairway.

As for the train, shouldn't there be many wagons and not just one gigantic one? Love those chairs.
You should probably put in some ticket barriers so that people can't just run up to the trains and jump on board without a ticket, or while the train is flying past. A security booth or two might be nice as well.
I know of some graphics coming out soon that might fit the bill, so if you're patient...
But yes, ticket/timetable boards, food stands, bins. Also, why use the grey fence up top instead of the wood? Use either all wood or all stone else it looks very odd.

@Liberty This is what I used to have, but it was impossible to put a star on the wall so I deleted it. And I used the stone because I thought it would look cooler. :P

Are you making new graphics ? I could wait until around December, because that 's when I have to release this demo. :)

Right, that's perfect. I also prefer the yellow fence and the second map, that big grey bar doesn't look great, or the first map, because in that one those signs are where they're supposed to be, but if you take out that big grey bar above them.

Edit : oh about the school ceiling, just a detail, you forgot to take out the part along the extreme upper right.

And this is the map for the classroom 's cyberspace. I am having a hard time choosing the background image and battleback. How is it ?

The image is a bit too small to fit. Look for something that's larger than the screen size then cut it down or put it in as is. You can tell it's too small thanks to the reset at the bottom of the screen.
Otherwise, I guess it looks pretty decent. ^.^


These doors lead to different clubrooms, although only 2 will be accessible. The pink door will lead to the Music club, but I am concern about its position.



In this picture, the door seems to be at the very right corner, while the one we had outside looks kinda like it 's in the middle. Is it okay if I just ignore this ? :P

You guys know, for the classroom... Judging from the position of the windows, the bookshelf is right where they are.
Is it okay if I sacrifice these little tiny details ? :D
