LOOKING FOR HELP WITH RM2K TITLE THREE THE HARD WAY

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask for advice on how to do something in an rpgmaker title. If it is, please direct me.

Also, yes, I'm well aware of the fact that there is a discussion section for the game on this site, and while I posted this there, I don't see myself getting a response since it hasn't has any activity in over a year.

First of all, let me say that this game is beyond excellent, and I can't thank you enough for making this iishenron. I love pretty much everything about the game, from the way you gain stats and abilities, to the unbelievably fleshed out characters and their development.

That said, I've been well... kinda using a walk through for the game, mainly just so I know where to go next, and how to solve certain puzzles, and without listing spoilers, the walkthrough ends around when the duchess asks you which region you wish to go to via boat travel.

I know that asking someone to finish the walk through is probably far too much, so I ask this.

Is there any possible way that someone can list all the spots that I need to go to, in order to finally complete the game? Bonus points if you can perhaps tell me how to get there from each port. I figure that if I have at least that much information, I should be able to complete the game.

Thank you for your time.
As the person who originally started that walkthrough, I can tell you that the game becomes extremely non-linear at that point, and there is no set path to the end from there. You can either defeat any four of seven different bosses, or defeat a certain one to end the sequence, and the plot goes quite differently depending on which you do.

This thread might help you.

The thread doesn't really help all that much

...

And by that, I mean it gave me exactly what I was looking for, and then some!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I'll probably finish the game by tomorrow night thanks to you!

Edit: Actually, I do have one question if I may. You said 4 of 7? Does that mean that you can only kill up to 4 of the 7? There any specific ones that get what might be considered a better ending perse?
There is no 'better' ending, but if you want to know more of the plot I suggest try killing them all. Defeating Catawba will have a certain impact on one of the characters, and defeating Teachey will automatically end the Kaibutsu quest.
You can't kill all 7 in one runthrough, no. Also, killing Teachey automatically ends the sequence regardless of how many you have killed beforehand, and events afterwards change considerably depending on whether you kill Teachey or not.

To get the most plot in one runthrough, I'd recommend killing 3 others and then ending with Teachey. You miss out on a lot of important information if you don't fight him. As for which three to fight, Catawba is probably the most interesting, so you should definitely go for her. Besides that, all the remaining five only have minor plot reveals, though I found Elko and Manteo the most interesting personally. If you can, use multiple saves and fight all of them; all their scenarios are worth playing through.

Ok, one more thing on this matter. Actually, a few things actually. Starting specifically with directions from the ship.

The plan I'm thinking is Elko first, which I get by sailing to Mayodan. That's fine. I plan to do this as soon as I finish this post.

Then I'll do Manteo, although I don't remember where the Pittsboro desert is. How do I get there via ship?

Then I'll go after Catawba, which I get by sailing to Durham Valley. I may do this second when I know how to get here already.

Finally, and most importantly, for Teachy I want to head to Cumberland Mountains. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the Cumberland Mountains are.

Oh, and finally, I'm pretty sure that I did the Cumberland side quest in act 1 that gives me access to Teachy, but on the off chance that I didn't actually do so, I guess I'll do Orrum instead. The foreseeable possible problem I see with this is that I did pay half to cross the checkpoint in act 3, and I wonder if I'll be able to cross again.

Anyways, these are questions about a somewhat obscure game that I've loved, even if it's highly rated. I completely understand if everyone who sees this is unable to answer them.

Thank you for your time everyone.
Oh, and if I may ask just one more question, once I defeat Teachey, how much of the game is left?
You'll find Manteo by going in the desert, you can't go there by ship. You should do the casino sidequest (which is also in the desert) before you kill him because it'll be more...funny. Bring Tatum along to the casino too.

As for Teachey, you need to go to the mountains (the one when you did the Cumberland sidequest) but you need to help defeat the pirates in the town below to access it. Talk to Vance's mom (somewhere in Cumberland I think) to trigger the quest.

When you defeat Teachey, the game is basically over - meaning you go directly in hunting Duke Greene.

As for Manteo, I'll lean more on defeating Ramseur or Orrum (Orrum will gain you Roper, a new character, if you didn't choose the 'ferry path'.)
Well, there is still quite a lot of gameplay left after the Kaibutsu hunt section, not to mention the unbelievably long ending sequence.

It's been so long that I don't really remember the ship routes exactly, but Cumberland is near the place where you start the game and Pittsboro is near Duke Salem's city (Burlington I think?).

Also...is that true that you get Roper for beating Orrum without her? Not sure whether I never knew that or I just forgot about it.
If you didn't choose the ferry route, yes you'll get her. I think she'll either join with you immediately after you defeat Orrum or join with you before you set out on finding Duke Greene.
Beat the game last night.

Can't thank everyone that helped me out with it enough, so thank you all several times over!

I cannot stress how insanely happy with the whole experience. I still went with Manteo since I had already completed before I saw the other suggestion, so that's that.I really loved going through his area, so it's all good.

I also can't thank you enough for suggesting Catawba. The huge plot twist that happened with her was BY far and large my favorite part of the entire beyond satisfying game, and I ended up describing the whole North and Cary subplot with a friend on AIM, and we both had completely different perspectives on Catawba, really adding to the experience.

Again everyone, thank you. My plan is to replay this game sometime in the distant future, and do the other 3 Kaibutsus. I was tempted to watch all of them, but there are just many other highly rated RPGMaker projects on my backlog that I wish to still play as well.
Actually, I'll just say this here instead:

I have to say that it's a game that I can't recommend enough. I admit I haven't seen my way through many rpgmaker2k titles, but I've done so with certain games that are considered community classics like A Blurred Line, and Legion Saga 1 and 2. While I absolutely loved all of them, and have been recommending them for a very long time on other boards whenever rpgmaker gets brought up, right now I feel Three The Hard Way is not only better than those games by far, but aslo better than most of my favorite games in general. In fact, I think the quality of the dialogue and characters happens to be pretty close to Planescape Torment itself.
