Ahaha, you are thinking of Dead or Alive extreme. But no kentona, not quite. Dead or Alive is one of the most favorited fighting games around, mostly because of it's nice quick style. The game you were thinking of simply uses the good looking girls from the games, and puts them into a more mature environment. Also, simply because I can, I thought I would just say that itagaki in japanese, looks like this - ????. I love my japanese class

Lol, I had this feeling. Kentona just doesn't look like the kind of guy who wouldn't know about these things.

I never really liked DOA or Ninja Gaiden, so this is actually good news. I hope he's never hired by anyone except as a code monkey.
Specifically: DOA is a pure button masher. IE: you can button mash counterattack and usually win. It makes for a boring, idiotic fight, but it's incredibly effective. I was looking the other way, eating popcorn and beat my friend with one idly tapping button finger. Pathetic game design flaw.

As for Ninja Gaiden... meh. There's better fish to fry in the action world. Usually with better camera systems.

I think the last Temco game I played was Tecmo Super Bowl.

I've only played DoA like once and never played the new Ninja Gaidens, but nothing makes me happier than disgruntled employees getting together and deciding to get back at the company for screwing them over. Especially in the game industry and other art forms, when executives who only care about money think they can just milk artists like cows.

And this will start a rash of people doing the same thing at other companies. People already left Square-Enix to form their own company, so this isn't new.

I could certainly see this happening at EA, Capcom, Atari, Microsoft (we don't want to do Halo Wars!), probably Square-Enix again from the lack of creativity issue, probably Nintendo, and Sony if they don't get things in gear, so, yeah, we may be headed for another 1984, folks. And I don't mean the book.

On that note, after Dragon Quest VI DS is released, I'm probably done with S-E myself. I'm not really interested in Final Fantasy XIII or any of its spinoffs, so, yeah.

Doesn't matter, Itagaki and his boys will simply make their own company and continue creating the next boob physics engine.

But seriously, I think Itagaki is awesome, his "Easy modes are for dogs who want everything handed to them" attitude really shows that we need more harder games in the market. Tecmo pretty much shot themselves in the foot.
