The other day I had the most insane dream ever. So there was a UFO flying in the sky and everyone was running around screaming that the world was going to end. The UFO lands on earth and the door opens when this army of whales come flying out and floats in the air. They start viciously spraying people with water and the world ends because everyone drowns.

I'm gonna quote that but with a bit of a difference for my sig haha. I don't necessarily remember my dreams aye I don't know. BTW if UFO's start dropping whales I'm blaming you!!!
The kind of dreams i usually have involve things such as aliens, ghosts etc. I usually have a dream about this once or twice a week.
I have the best dreams! In one I was a female samurai who was protecting a princess. We both got killed in that one. ;.; But at least I took the assassin out too. ^.^

In another I was an explorer who discovered new land.

Yet another I was a caretaker of some kids in a post-apocalyptic world that flooded and we had to try and get to the highest skyscrapers to survive. ^.^

Then there are a lot of sci-fi/futuristic ones set in my hometown where everything is totally different (ie - a giant mega mall with fancy lights and gizmos and gadgets.)

There have even been a few to do with vampires and strange ghost-like creatures that are trying to kill myself and assorted others.

I love my crazy dreams. ^.^ <3 <3
I once had a dream that I had a pet Lizard, he turned into the Chewit Dinosaur and when rampaging through New York City on his rollerskates. They were helicopters chasing us for some reason so we hid under a bed in an Army base...How old was I then?

I also had a dream I was a Castle Guard in Hyrule. I don't dream much anymore, 'bout once a month, maybe less. It's funny that all my dreams are completely effected by TV and Video Games.
I had a dream lastnight that I died.

I was sad when I woke up and realized it wasn't true :'( (single tear)

Last night I had a dream where my English teacher and I were trapped in a Three-Act Play, and in the second act my teacher turned into a zombie werewolf in a sequence reminiscent of An American Werewolf in London, and then went around biting off people's arms and legs and sewing them onto other people. Thankfully I somehow took a bathroom break during act two and avoided the whole thing.

So in summary, I have really weird dreams.

That's totally me.

The dreams I've had that I still do remember, though, are amazing. Most of them ussually involve me or people I know dying, though... =/ Though, when it's other people, it's not just one or two, it'll be like, a whole group of people I know, for instance, my soccer team, or my eight grade class or something like that.

But it's still fun. Dreams are awesome.

Can anybody here go Lucid?

xkcd is amazingly good.

Anyways, I have very strange dreams sometimes. I can't really describe them all here (nor do I want to!).

The most classic one I had is when I was the ruler of a LEGO kingdom and had to help defend them from the polar bears destroying their civilization.

Hah, I'm not the only one who thought that apparently. I feel somewhat relieved.
And yes, it always is awesome. Well, when you can understand it.

Has anybody here ever seen themselves in their dreams? And if so, did you look like what you really do?

what the fuck (sounds pretty awesome)

Most of my dreams are really fucked up and have a recurring theme to it. Such as...

1. I'm flying but I can't quite get it right so I keep floating back down to the ground.
2. I'm in a school and the bell just rung and I'm looking for someone but can't find them in the crowd.
3. My school turned into a labyrinth like temple with flowing waterfalls and a lot of rooms.
4. I get superpowers but I can't control them.
5. I run really really slow. And something is chasing me.

Then every now and then I get weird stuff like purple tornados, washing machines, and LaVarr Burton.

Yes.

Anyway! Most of my dreams would probably be considered inappropriate for the forums, however I can think of a few that are safe. All of the following are actual, true to life dreams I've honestly had.

T.J. McMurphy: Adventures of Wonderment

Apparently my brain crafted a goofy Sci-Fi adventure/sitcom whilst I was sleeping one night. It follows a wacky Spaceship Captain named T.J. McMurphy and his culturally diverse crew as they adventure the wonders of time and space; complete with goofy 80's theme a la Quantum Leap! The intro was actually better than the dream-show itself, as it was one of those hilarious "character is doing something telling of their personality, stops, turns and looks at the camera smiling while their name floats below them" kinda thing. I of course played the role of T.J.; and yes, the title of the show was actually T.J. McMurphy: Adventures of Wonderment.

Beef!

This is one of my more recent abstract horror dreams. Basically, I was at my parents house helping my Dad cut the back lawn when a cow appears outta nowhere. Living in suburbia and nowhere in the vicinity of farms, this is not normal. Thus, my Dad goes to check it out. As he's walking towards the cow I yell to him to get back, just as a bull charges into view. I exchange some award winning dialog in the vein of "That cow was just a distraction!" as my Dad yells for me to get into the house. So, I make a break for the screened in patio back door, narrowly missing an oncoming charge from the bull, and make it inside. Just as the screen door was about to swing shut, a hoof at shoulder level stops it. I turn to look behind me and a humanoid similar to a minotaur steps into view and is all "RAAAAAWR!" So I do what anyone would do, stop in my tracks and yell back at it "FUCK YOU! YOU'RE BEEF, THAT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER!" and sprint to the door leading into the actual house. So I slam the large wooden door with a tiny curtained window shut with my back against it, my Dad is all confused and questioning, so I explain the situation while taking a breather. I then decide to take a peak through the curtained window looking into the patio, and as I pull the curtain aside WHAM! the bull humanoid is staring right back at me, face pressed against the pane fogging it up. The rest of the dream was my family, and friends trying to escape my parents house with multiple minotaur things stalking us. Yeah...

The rest of my dreams can be summed up into: Zombie/Monster Apocalypse, Encounters with the Fairer Sex and Perpetual Falling.
Yeah, the other types of dreams i usually have often involve death such as friends and family dying etc. This is mainly due because i watch a lot of shows like that very late at night.

Probably because we watch so much horror and death shows late at night. Seriously, i absolutely hate them, leaves me in shock the next day.
Lucid dreams are honestly the coolest. I can only remember ever having done it like 2-3 times in my life, but they were an awesome 2-3. Once was when I was just travelling across this mountainous forest/foresty mountain, and I could jump really high and far, so it was basically just me jumping quickly across the landscape.

Another time, it was actually kinda bizarre. I was in my room, and everything was black, with white outlining the edges of everything (like wire-frame). No shades of gray or textures, or any signs of life, except for my monitor, which was showing static. Well, somehow I turned lucid, walked out of my room, floated downstairs to the first floor, and went to visit my neighbors.
But since you've only done it a few times I guess you don't have any tips on how to enter one on purpose? >.<
I've been trying to for a long time, with absolutely no luck.
I want to have a lucid dream where I die.
