I'm still waiting for the steam console if there is one

I'm tired to see what console is going to be the best and which is going to have something I like and actually something I will play for a long while without getting tired of it, that are probably 5 games of each console, so none of them are worth the price tag for me, all this years have pull me out from games to the point of almost never playing. So watching the prices and games of steam and that they could do a console better than my netbook for playing a lot of games that have caught my attention, that is really the only thing that could grab me again in playing games more frequently
Final thoughts on the matter as someone who skipped the seventh gen console and was only barely considering getting one of the new machines this whole Xbox reveal debacle has provided me with HOURS of quality entertainment.

Read the article. It's a rumour.

So is everything surrounding the Xbox's used games policy. Point?

Microsoft made it one of their points. The only rumours are the fee cost.
My thoughts are that Microsoft reeled at the backlash and will only charge a small amount. Then sony will tentatively follow suit. It's shitty to imagine having to rebuy allllllllll my frigging games again, but I really lost interest in gaming when Vita stomped out my huge stockpile of psp games. Kinda dumb, maybe, but it was a bad sign. So PC for me, thanks! Sonyfanboy dies inside!

I can defiantly see where you’re coming from

By the look of things at the moment, neither.

I hate to say it, but if things keep going the way their going I’ll probably be better off poring a few K into a good gaming PC and be done with it.

The only thing keeping me from dropping the PS4 completely is the possibility of obscure, Japanese games which are likely only going to be realised on the PS4.
Phil Harrison, a VP of Microsoft, and some game journalist for Gametrailers: Totally equivalent sources.

I'm just gonna post shit quasi-related to the xbones and ps4s because it'll be a while before somebody says something without backpedaling immediately and I'm tired of fucking game journalism for a while.

Youtube Commenters remain clueless idiots. See if you can figure out why!
It's the 1995 E3 Keynote speech from Sony when they announced the PS1 price to be $300, $100 less than the Saturn announced hours earlier. Youtubers didn't read shit like the video title and immediately assumed it was a PS4 announcement.

yes it is a joke account

Do Wii games count?

(the lesson is don't buy shit at launch)

Yeah, no kidding. I missed the days when launch games were good. *looks at Super Nintendo*

But yeah, they're sure trying to grind in the whole not using used games thing anymore, they are trying REALLY hard to piss off the gaming community these days. For me, it's going to have to be with one console and one console only for a while, which will be the Wii-U, thankfully the new Sonic game that was announced will be coming out, so now I won't feel as shitty for buying the Wii-U now.

Took half a year, christ.
Wii U (why u no put that on list?)

My opinions of the next gen consoles

Wii U:It has the brightest future of them all. Though a few disappointments with it. People say it isn't selling well, but ironically, in the first three months it sold better than Xbox 360 on it's first 3 months.

PS4: Nothing new at all, slight graphic updates and such but what games can it play that wouldn't be possible on the PS3? It might've been better for Sony to do what they'd planed and keep the at-least good PS3 on for a decade.

XBox One: Even the name makes it sounds like Microsoft will do the worst out of the three. You have to pay to play used games (I get games from game stop and Amazon all the time, that explains why I hate this feature the most), required online connection 24/7... and it seems that the only updates are for socializing online, not playing games (I say this is hardly a game console)

That's just me, I might be overlooking such, but all I have to add to this is those who are saying Nintendo will be the next Sega know nothing about the 90's and early 2000's. (that's a different story so I will not go into that unless asked) I'm not really trying to put someone down with this.
If I had to pick between the two consoles, I would go with the PS4.

However, I'm not impressed with either one of them and will stick with my PC.

I don't think a console being outsold by the Vita and the Dreamcast has any future that can be called bright.
Well, if you really wanted to send a message to MS and Sony, you would go out an buy a Wii U right now - the only console of this next gen that doesn't have any plans arcane restrictions on used games. They don't care what you SAY they care what you DO, and a surge in Wii U sales would say a lot.

The whole used games issue is a moot point on the Wii U because there are no games in the first place and most 3rd party developers have disavowed it.
"There are currently 132 games confirmed (90 retail and 42 downloadable) as of the 11th of April 2013."

as for "most" do you mean EA?
I think the whole used game thing is probably going to turn out better than everyone expects. with hilarious and awful things like this infographic going around, I think ignoring most speculation is probably a good way to do things until e3 clears things up

e: in case you're super-credulous and that thing I linked scared you:
  • why would the kinect need to monitor your heartbeat
  • EVERY webcam is hackable. all of them. maybe the 1 in 2 that aren't just aren't hooked up?
  • the kinect can be turned off. you can press a button and turn it off. there's a button. you can press it. taking notes?
  • when a company files for a patent, it isn't necessarily a sign that the company will use it. it's kind of frightening, yeah, but keep in mind that Sony has a patent on technology that would allow them to interrupt your game at any time to play a commercial and we haven't seen anything like that happen yet. sometimes it's just a way of keeping things reserved on the off-chance that it might be profitable later. I don't think there's any profit in it now, though.
  • the fuck does the government care about you? it's not gonna post photos of you naked on the couch to your facebook.

only tangentially related
I'm... getting neither. I'm broke!

My 3DS is working just fine as well; in fact, I just upgraded to a XL and it's pretty wonderful. Just need to have the funds every once in a while for a game or two. If I had to get another system, I'd probably get a Vita next...

Though if I had to do a CONSOLE, not a handheld, I'd go for WiiU, mainly because I'm a Monster Hunter junkie and I can't wait for Capcom to stop being a huge douche and confirm whether or not the West is getting MH4 (yes, I realize it's not coming out in Japan even until September). The WiiU version of MH3U is currently the only way to play MH online unless you get a group together to play Freedom Unite on adHoc Party (or you're lucky enough to know people who were brave enough to play Portable 3rd) since the servers for Tri went down.

So really... it's not really a WiiU but a MH3UMachine. I'd eventually get Bayonetta 2 and "X" on it... but that's all I know about. Still! It's more than I know about for the XBone or the PS4. More than happy with what I've got for the time being. ... then again, I didn't get into the current gen of consoles until the both of them were like... five years old. So my choice probably amounts for very little.
I bought Monster Hunter 3 from a bargain bin for the Wii a few months ago. It's still unwrapped. Is it any good?
