I bought Monster Hunter 3 from a bargain bin for the Wii a few months ago. It's still unwrapped. Is it any good?
Well... considering the servers went down about a month ago... Half the fun of Tri was playing online with friends, since it was really the first one in English you could do that with (before it was just local ad hoc with Freedom Unite). I'd say if you like grindy MMO-like action games... it's worth it to at least try?
I'd still take Tri with a grain of salt at this point, though, because it's the first in the third generation of Monster Hunter games (there's been two iterations since along with a port). So it's going to be severely limited in terms of content compared to say... 3 Ultimate (which just came out).
If you're willing to deal with clawhand and have a modded PSP, it might be worth it to just play Portable 3rd if you don't have 3DS or the money to get 3 Ultimate. But... on its own, Tri isn't BAD... and is a decent place to start... But it's definitely not a typical action game.

I saw the full revealing, heard on some podcasts, saw reviews such as Angry Joe's, read on a lot of sites saying the same thing, etc. Most of the crap they're doing Microsoft has confirmed.
Sorry if its offending or anything, I've just lost hope in microsoft. Besides, the word "TV" still sums up the whole reveal.

there are two flavours of outrage to the xbone: one where people are misinformed and paranoid, and one where people are super angry that they weren't the demographic microsoft was targeting during that speech. which are you?
the reveal everyone lost their shit about was aimed specifically at non-gamers -- they were playing the console up as more of a home theater system for exactly that reason. when e3 rolls around I guarantee they'll have more to say about the gaming side of things.

But I think there is a way so companies will removed DRM system for their console.. But it impossible if everyone or anyone keeps buying it. (But for the wii u I think it works a little)

Anyways, for my opinion...
I am not buying any of the "new-gen" consoles any time soon. I am quite happy with my 3DS and the games on it/upcoming games.
PS4 is gonna be expensive for sure, and it seems the focus is shifting from games, it has a dedicated "share" button on the controller for crying out loud. But I don't know much more about the console, and if any good games come out for it, I might eventually get it down the road. First I need more info about it though. Dark Souls 2 will be for PS3, so I am happy with the "old" gen PS for now.

Anyways, I never bought any of the XBox consoles, the exclusive games weren't exactly my cup of tea (not interested in Halo and those other boring war games), the only game I ever wished I could play was Lost Odyssey, but there were enough JRPGs on the PS3 to satisfy my needs.
I know for sure though, even if some interesting games come out for the console, I won't support it, as I am a gamer and all I want my console to be is a hassle-free "interface" for running my games. Constant internet connection required? Kinect on all the time? Ability to watch TV? I just want to play games no problemo, is that too much to ask?
Wii U is something I'm keeping my eye on, some of the games interest me... however, I don't have a TV, and hooking it up to a PC monitor seems "troublesome". So for now, Wii U is also a no-no.
I could just spend some money on upgrading my PC... if it was worth it. Lately, all the new "shiny" PC games that would require me to upgrade don't cath my interest AT ALL. I just look at any Best of 2013 lists, and there is NOTHING that screams "I have to upgrade my PC for THAT game". Tomb Raider? Crysis 3? GTA V? TES Online? Dead Space 3? Metro? A big MEH to that.
It is weird though, I used to upgrade my PC all the time whenever a game that I desperately wanted to play came out. The only PC games I am mildly interested in right now are a bunch of kickstarter games and Might and Magix X (if they don't screw it up).
Anyways, for my opinion...
