SALUTATIONS!

Posts

Haha, I have art projects and a book I'm starting on, so trying to not commit to much at the moment! Also working out at the gym and a couple other things too! But keep me posted!

Do you write or do art?

I do both, though I'm a much better writer than artist and I'm quite out of practice with the latter.
I probably should have said hi earlier but that's okay. Hiya, and welcome to RMN!
You seem cool from what I've seen of you so far so that's always nice, cool dragon by the way. Oh, and:

Remind me not to get on your bad side!
(Oh, and thanks for that steamy fan fiction~<3)
Haha, no problem Gourd! Pleasure to meet you as well, and you actually got my first post! You stole my RMN posting virginity! ;D

I was stalking the site for a bit, but was busy with class and only got tempted to join after seeing the erotic fanfic page. I figure it appealed to my writer nature. Maybe I'll do a couple more, haha. I liked my reply! :D

Love your avatar by the way! Might do another one myself later or commission Dudesoft to do one. Or do both! Thanks for the welcome! So far the site seems bomb!

@Trihan: yeah, I'm more a writer just because I do way more of it and lack decent art supplies. I write a lot though. I want to change that though by doing more art! I may pick up a couple things to accomplish that~
You're welcome~

Haha, I like that! If there had been an erotic fan fiction when I first saw the site, I probably would've joined earlier too.

Actually, Dudesoft is the person who made this avatar. Glad to see you like the site by the way.
lol gor sure! I'm into video games and writing, so it works! And yerp, I know Dudesoft made it. He already offered to make me one. :) He's the one who showed me the site to begin with. He's got some killer talent!

Have we got anything where we can post fanfic or rpg here? Like, written style rpg? I haven't found it yet if there is. Just Dude's Final Fantasy style one.
Well, you can submit a media to any game and write a fan fic there. There's actually an event on RMN now that's all about submitting media including reviews and fan fics. You can write a fan fic about pretty much anything else with an article or a forum post in the Creative Corner section of the forums. If you want to run a Forum RPG the Welp Welp forum works for sure.
Thank ye verily for the information, good sir!

So what brought you guys to RMN? Besides the recommendation I'm a video game collector and player. Of RPG games mostly!

I can't actually remember what brought me to RMN. I think WIP and kentona mentioned it on IRC and I made an account, which pretty much lay dormant for several months before I actually came and checked it out and it was cool so I stayed. :P Though I've kind of drifted in and out of existence here since I joined. I post pretty regularly now.

Holy tositos, Kat, you sure have gotten rather popular around here.

(Now I feel so unloved... :( )

Anywhoooo, late on the welcomes but not for the greetings, welcome to the forums, bud. Any friend of the "Dude" is a friend of mine. :)
Well, whatever the case I'm glad you stuck around so I could meet you, Tri! What sort of things you into besides MLP and video games? You mentioned wriiiiting? What sort of things do you write?

Hey there Addit--I have? I really hadn't noticed, but just think: you aren't unloved 'cause I'm here and I shall contribute more of it in your direction than you will know what to DO WITH!

Never too late! Any and all greetings are super welcome and very appreciated~ So I was asking how people found RMN. How 'bout you?

Aww, I feel so loved! Well besides MLP and games I'm into playing instruments (keyboard, guitar, bagpipes, recorder), doing amateur voice acting (I've done about 7 roles so far), radio presenting (I have a show on the local radio station), fixing stuff (just started my own phone/PC/laptop repairs business), singing, and as mentioned writing. I write poetry mainly but I'm also working on a few books, one of which is a book version of Tundra.
You play keyboard and guitar? :o That's too badass. I wanted to learn to play those at some point, but I'd probably actually take lessons if I were to do so. And I'm sorry, but between learning to play keyboard and play guitar...BELLYDANCING WINS!

It looks like SO much fun, great workout, and what kind of girl or woman doesn't want to be able to dance like Shakira? That woman can MOVE.

I saw a couple comments about how awesome your voice is! I want to find it and hear it! Voice acting is the best! I love Michael Rosenbaum's voice. He did the Flash on Justice League. Won't lie. Dead sexy voice on that man.

So...is there anything you DON'T do, Tri? lol

Poetry? I've written some but it was quite a few years ago and it was so EMO. Yes, yes. Kat has much sadness all hidden up inside and can do magical things with it.

Sadness leads to fear. Fear is the path to the Dark Side. And we have COOKIES.

And ice cream!

I'm kind of a jack of all trades, master of a couple really. I like making stuff. Where did you see comments about how awesome my voice is? :P I'll just leave this here.

Please excuse the terrible moustache, I hadn't shaved that day.

I can post some of my poetry if you want as well.

OMG. You are my new hero. After Dude, you are totes next in line as my new HERO. I just laughed so hardcore, that was beyond OSSUM. Do you have more like this? :D

Sure, I'd like to see your poetry too! And no problem moustaches can be SHAVED. But, to quote, that was 'bloody brilliant'! I saw the comment on another board, I'm not sure which. I type fast so end up easily posting a ton here without having to take more than a minute to do so~

It was intended to be a weekly series; I've written quite a few parodies and a couple of original songs, but I haven't recorded them yet.

Here's some poetry:

How often people think or say
In disapproving tone
"These kids are far too young to make
decisions on their own!"

And in some cases, I admit
That viewpoint proves quite true
But sometimes grown-ups don't recall
That they were kids once too.

I've met some children in my time
And most of them I've found
Were more mature than thought at first
With both feet on the ground.

Conversely on the other hand
Some adults that I've known
Have proved to be completely thick
Their brains weren't fully grown.

So in the end, as with most things
There is a learning curve
And kids do not seem to receive
The credit they deserve.

They're getting smarter all the time
(And some are getting fatter)
But in the end the fact remains
That age just doesn't matter.

With clever tricks and roundhouse kicks
Chuck Norris comes to town
If some guy's face gets in his space
He'll knock that guy right down.

And if by luck you find a buck
And then you pick up four
Though you've got five and Chuck's got five
Chuck Norris still has more.

The Boogeyman, he has a plan
He frolics in the muck
But in the night he gets a fright
And checks his room for Chuck.

It's plain to see infinity
The concept is quite nice
Don't even try to count that high
Chuck Norris did it twice.

So in the end my mortal friend
We simply can't compare
And if you mock his massive...rock
He'll kill you with a stare.

They bide their time just waiting in your darkened laundry box
No garments are as dangerous as odd mismatching socks
They hide themselves in corners, watching you and hatching plots
They'll stick themselves to ceiling fans and tie themselves in knots.

They take other clothes hostage in the hope that you will cave
And there's no hope of teaching wayward socks how to behave
Like polyester puppies they don't know they're doing wrong
But deep down all those socks just want a place where they belong.

When they were paired, well life was great! The future seemed so bright
But now you've lost their partner that poor sock's heart feels so light
It drifts around the house without a purpose or a buddy
And that is why you'll find them in the kitchen or the study.

They're terribly misunderstood those socks that stand alone
And all they ever wanted was a place they could call home
So next time when you find an odd sock, don't get in a muddle
Please give a thought to how they feel, and give your sock a cuddle.
Are you aiming to be the next Dr.Seuss? You have a lot of talent there, Tri! I read the Chuck Norris one to my sister and her girlfriend, they thought it was awesome, loved the HP song too! You should record them and stick them up here! I'd love to see 'em.

I'm gonna' do some art and stick it up here, too. My writing is more for my book and actual RP sites. I'll probably hit up the erotic fantasy thread again a couple times. I'm just waiting so someone else has a chance to post one before I have another go at it! It was fun. lol

You'd better stop complimenting me or it'll go to my head. ;) Glad you like my stuff!
Just being honest. You've got talent, so let it shine! I'm totally shy, I wouldn't have the courage to do what you do. I have always had problems showing anything I do to anyone. I have to say I envy people who don't have the same self confidence issues I do. But hey, I'm working on it!

I'm starting to do a lot of sketching again, so I'll hopefully just tentatively put a few things up...I'm not shy about writing. Been doing that since I was eight, and since I was fourteen online.

If it's any consolation, I used to be exactly the same. When I was like 15-16 I was totally shy and wouldn't say boo to a goose.
