HELLO, EVERYONE. I'M HAPPY TO BE HERE!

Well, maybe not happy, but a bit optimistic. I'm usually a bit emotionless at home.
Time for a long-winded introduction about myself in general, because it's good to show and tell. (Obviously, games need show less, don't tell, but that's not the point here.)
Now that I got that out of the way, I'm here on the forums so that I may be able to learn a bit from the folks here, from the good and the maybe-not-the-most-ideal-but-tried. I am what you can consider a Red Mage of RPG Maker; a Jack of all Trades but master of none. I do know lots of skills like mapping, tinkering with code, conceptual art, and usually I'm a decent writer, it's just that I'm no master at this stuff. I like to think I am, but that is dangerous thinking. Usually I work on my own projects, but if you need feedback or a tester/reviewer, I am more than happy to do so and give suggestions how to make things better! Heck, I might have to review some content later, it's something I've been wanting to do. (Don't worry, I try not to be too harsh.)
Hope to get to know you guys! I'll be here for a while. :D (If demons don't invade soon. Ack.)

People call me Fang on the internet; it's a long story. I consider myself to be an oddball type of gamer; someone who is deeply obsessed with games but spends more time studying them than playing them. While I have been able to get some play through my 3DS (Etrian Odyssey IV and Soul Hackers are delicious dungeon crawlers...), generally I am more focused with game theory, which is why I took the time to jump into RPG Maker; I have some programming knowledge, but not to a great extent. (It does help when looking at these Ruby scripts, though.) I used to be an active player/creator on the LittleBigPlanet communities, but then I realized most work on there wouldn't be useful to starting a career (unless I was lucky), so yeah.
Now, I am a huge Atlus fanboy. I'm not going to deny it; sure, I love my Final Fantasies and Tales of on the side as well (specifically, FFIX and TotA), but it's just that I'm really invested in their games. Shin Megami Tensei is a major influence in my processing of making RPGs with their way of presenting both good settings and good writing. Gameplay, sometimes I take queues from them in balancing. It's usually hard but fair. (Nocturne is usually the stick I use to measure difficultly (how hard would this game be compared to this?))
Overall, no matter what, I believe in good experiences, and I hope that I may be able to deliver one.

Although I am a newbie, in this site and in game making, I welcome you.
SMT persona 4 changed more than my vision on games, it also changed my real life :)

Another emotionless-at-home person? We should hang out! Welcome, have fun, be productive and enjoy your stay. That is all.
(Also, Red Mages are cool.)

Thank you guys. I like this place already. :>
Haha, seeing social links everywhere? Usually that's always what happens. I'm a prime example xD

LOL, not really, I didn't like how the main character accept anything and everything, and should answer what people liked to hear. But the concept of shadows born from ignored feeling made me thinking and then I realized how much I wanted to be someone else, how I ignored (so called) bad feeling, afterward I tried to understand myself. :P

Ah, okay. Social Link up always plays in my head, is all. Though I've also learned to understand who I really am through playing the Persona series. xP
Glad Persona helped ya, SMT has always been a philosophical series and I'm happy there are games out there like them. Gives me hope for games in the future :S
The feeling is mutual :). as you mentioned, there is philosophical thinking behind the whole game, the game also force you to think.
I never played Nocturne, but I know that it need real planning and use of strategy :). Its interesting that in modern game industry, there are companies that create challenging games.
I like two game series SMT and risen/gothic, both say the same thing "knowledge is power", and spamming attack button is your doom :P.

Welcome to RMN! You know the proper use of semicolons, so we're friends now.
What? I'm saying we're friends because he knows how semicolons should be used. How is that not nice? I'm paying him a compliment. :P
Welcome to RMN, FangS! I see you already have a review under you belt ... I wonder if that's some sort of record between joining RMN and submitting a review?? It's does take a bit of guts for a newcomer. Also, I noticed that you weren't credited with Makerscore (the number next to the "m" under your avatar) for your review.
Anyway, it seems that I'm the opposite type of gamer you are: I'm obsessed with playing them! For that reason, I don't think I'll ever learn how to make a game, although there's other ways to contribute (as long as the aliens don't invade!).

Fang I am sorry, I hate it when people use sarcastic language. by now you probably knew that my English isn't good at all, since I learned English from playing games I don't know anything about grammar, 3 month ago I didn't even use punctuations and people (in another forum) told me to use it.
@Trihan, don't play dumb with me, that one sentence means
meisam you are NOT my friend, so don't get friendly.
meisam your not using semicolon properly, and that's a laughing matter.
I am unable to tell any of this to meisam in his face like a real man, so I am using sarcastic language.
I am sure there is a problem with my posts but I couldn't understand what is the problem. And you mentioned one of my problems (although you did it in worst way) so I really appreciate that, you helped me again. and please if you have a problem with me just send a brief PM. but for god sake be Frank that's all I am asking.
Everyone please be frank, I would rather take a mace in the face rather than a tack in the back.

I really, really hope you're joking meisam because my comment didn't even take you into account. I wasn't paying any attention whatsoever to your grammar or lack thereof. Honestly, I was simply saying "Hey, you know how to use semicolons and that's cool!". Saying someone is cool for being able to do something is NOT saying that people who can't or don't do it aren't cool. You're seeing an attack where there is none, and I'm sorry if you took my post as a personal affront.
You can be a jack of all trades but be a master of FINISHING, and you will a huge success! (Finishing a project is a skill in its own right). Welcome to RMN, Jack!
Who is Jack?
Trihan, I should apologize because I wasn't joking, I misunderstood you. Again I made the mistake of thinking that "the world is around me", I am really sorry.
I need sometime to think what's going on, I guess I become totally paranoid :S.
I am sorry fang, for posting this on your introduction page. No one is like me, I assure you.

Hey, on the plus side you got a kickass user title out of it! :D
LOL, I preferred "I prefer the mace in the face rather than a tack in the back". It take sometimes to find the tack word:P, I randomly test words to see their meaning in google translate :P.
