Actually trihan strikes me as genuinely annoyed in general. he's probably town. I don't want to kill dudesoft day 1. Consider this my anti-policy lynch. I would probably kill Happy though as he seems to be acting very out of character.

I'm sorry, out of what character?
If you'd actually read what I was posting, CAVE, you'd see that I did actually call you out, not only because I didn't think Jeroen would add a daycop, but I found it suspicious that you outed yourself as one so quickly.
I wasn't aware of your propensity for fakeclaiming day 1: I've played with you before but this is the first Mafia game I've been in for a while, so to call me an ignoramus for not knowing the metagame I'm not even part of is a little insulting.
Even so, I wasn't pushing to lynch you; what I don't want is townies who are intentionally going to throw shit in the fire just for the hell of it. Your intention in doing this might have been to stimulate action, and it seems to have worked, but from my perspective if you're town you're doing more harm to the team than help by fakeclaiming in the first place, whatever your motivation. The aim is to kill scum, but sometimes you need to get rid of townies who are hurting the cause too. That said your explanation sounds legitimate enough for now, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You're on my radar, though.

yeah but claiming cop when you have a guilty is actually a good idea so that didn't count. I mean, it is here. Because if I tried to subtlety show that I had a guilty investigation on wildwes, nobody would get it, and also people wouldn't follow the lynch because of day 1 coward syndrome. I guarantee it.
my actions have not harmed town at all. like, what actual harm could they have done. Progression of events: Cop claim>Unclaim.
none of this matters so let's stop talking about it. What do you think of the case on wildwes.
I just modded a game with you in it. I do not recall you being so gung-ho, lynching cop claims without a word and expressing a desire to kill someone, anyone.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

You can cancel your election votes. Please do make sure to clarify what vote you are cancelling, as in #Cancel lynch or #Cancel election, or anything else that is clear.
Regarding the election votes, I want to see more of them. I want to see how this gimmick will turn out, so I need people to use it. If I have to randomly choose a sheriff, I may invoke a "no lynchvotes until there's a new sheriff" policy when that sheriff has died.

I am now certain that you are not scum and are just town trying to play scum as hard as possible.

#Cancel Lynchvote on Wildwes
author=CAVE_DOG_IS_BACKauthor=TrihanAs far as I know, casting a lynchvote is the ultimate form of trying to lynch someone. Retreating it after the fact doesn't really change anything.
##unvoteI wasn't trying to lynch him.
I'm not completely denying the validity of your accusations towards wildwes, but if you're willing to risk sacrificing Wildwes' life, should he be innocent, shouldn't you just as well be willing to risk your own?

In light of the mod's call for more shierfvotes, and him appearing quite genuinely concerned with the unity and well-being of the townsfolk, I think I'll cask my vote on Trihan.
#Elect Trihan
I seem to be messing up my quotes, but I can't edit them, sorry for that.

Consider plurality votes. (whoever has most votes at the end of the day gets elected, forcing people to make a choice.)
Actually, it does change things, Platinum. Watch this.

Do you think that was an attempt to kill you? Gahahaha.
Platinum, I don't understand the second part of your post. You are aware that I am not claiming to be a cop of any sort anymore, right? In that light, why would I be willing to say "lynch me if wildwes is town?"
You say you are not denying the validity of my case on wildwes. I would like to hear your detailed thoughts on it.

You're playing with the definition of an attempted murder, and although you're partially right, you're making it look more simple than it is.
Of course your vote never counted towards the actual lynching of someone, since you retreated it. But who's to say that you would have still retreated your vote, if more people had agreed on killing your target?
"Platinum, I don't understand the second part of your post. You are aware that I am not claiming to be a cop of any sort anymore, right? In that light, why would I be willing to say "lynch me if wildwes is town?"
Because that kind of reasoning is independent of why you believe the accused should be accused; it doesn't matter whether you're a daycop or not. The fact remains, that when someone rallies up people to make a vote on someone innocent, there's a very high chance that they're themselves a werewolf.

My impression of wes is similar to what you've said: he's indecisive and unsure of himself. Does that mean he's scum? I honestly don't think so. He lacks conviction, but he's not giving off any clear scumtells to me.
My main point regarding fakeclaiming is that at the point I was considering you a harmful presence, you hadn't yet admitted your claim wasn't legitimate. When you say "I am X and Y is scum!" even if you're joking you've just planted the seed in the players' minds that this might be the case. This means you may influence us, at some point, into lynching an innocent wes or not picking up that you're scum. It's an incredibly iffy tactic if you're trying to help town win.
You've managed to convince me at least that you weren't trying anything underhanded, so my question now is who to elect and who to lynch.
Does anyone actually have an argument for electing them sheriff besides CAVE?

Oh. You're out of your gourd, then, Platinum!!! Townies lynch town as often as they lynch scum.
The main thing about wildwes lacks conviction was that he didn't seem entirely sure that my claim wasn't real. This doesn't make sense if he is town.

I don't think that many people are trustworthy at this point (simply because not many posts have been made). In my honest opinion, you might as well elect yourself, if the rules allow for that.

I pretty much agree with this. Also, I've got a headache and I don't feel like THINKING. I'm gonna give this a rest and come back tomorrow. -.-

*sigh* Once again, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORD THINGS PROPERLY.
You do have a point, CAVE. But then was wes's confusion about whether you were right that you'd scanned him as scum or whether you were really the role you were claiming to be? I'm going to go back and read over what he's posted so far.

It doesn't really matter, as the two are linked.
Wildwes, who do you think is scum?

My brain hurts, don't ask me these questions. >.<
I'm not sure... Trihan seems safe, you... kind of confuse me, I can't tell WHAT you are anymore, and everyone else is pretty neutral, can't tell what they are. (I'm not good at mafia, am I? -.-)

I wasn't convinced at first, but after some reconsideration, the fact that he only slightly doubted that you were a day cop could indeed be seen as an indication of his identity. It could however, just be general nativity, and uncertainty. Maybe he thought you had somehow made a mistake, or he just didn't think it through properly.

Exactly. Pretty much both of those. Now stop posting, if I get notices from this I'll end up looking at them and responding to them and I don't want to do that right now.

I'm still on the fence, I guess I'll leave it to Cave and Trihan to convince me.
In the meantime, I'm wondering whether the werewolves are aware of eachother's identity at this point, because if they are there's a few posts that could potentially be suspicious.
Most of all, it's strange that Dudesoft elected someone who had said literally nothing at that point. Combined with the fact that he (Happy) himself, opted to Lynch cave without reason right after he called someone potentially suspicious out. Lastly, it goes without saying that Happy literally stating he wanted to kill someone, without specifying who, is suspicious.
