Hello.
I've recently started composing music and am really interested in making video game music since I have played games and heard their music for my entire life. I would like compose something like that and contribute it to real games so I thought that this site is perfectway to start doing that. But I have composed only less than a year so I'm still learning and looking for experience.
I've had however also had few game ideas of my own and interest for AI programming so maybe I could also participate to other aspects of game development. But for now composing is my thing.
I really look forward to participate to M.O.G game music event.

Hey! Welcome! It's nice to see new composers around! I share your passion for video game music myself and I too want to become a composer for video games! There's quite a bunch of us here, actually. At times we organize some video game music events on the site, like competitions and collaborations, so keep an eye out for them!
I started composing a few years ago myself, but practice yields results, so I'd recommend to just keep at it and you'll become good!
What sequencer do you use?

Yay, thank you for welcoming me ^_^
I mainly use LMMS for making pieces, but I sometimes use Korg M01d for nintendo 3ds.
I also use Musescore and Audacity for making music; Musescore for brainstorming melodic ideas and Audacity for tweaking the wav file exported from LMMS.
However I plan to get FL studio or some other commercial DAW. I'm testing the trial versions of various DAWs while saving money for them. Do you have any tips which one to pick?

Welcome!
I... am not really a composer, but I do mess around with audacity every once in a while.
Couldn't help you with choosing though. But I've heard FL Studio is worth the pay.

Can't speak on behalf of other DAWs than FL studio, as I haven't tried them out, but I've personally been using FL studio for several years myself now and it works pretty good for me. Personally I mostly use the "piano roll" view where it comes to composing, so I don't know much about how good FL studio is for recording or editing wavs, but just as a sequencer it works very well.
At some point pro tools was the professional standard, but I wouldn't stress about that if you're only getting started. FL studio, too, starts to be pretty common these days, anyway.
