PHOENIX MAFIA: ONLINE TURNABOUT
Posts
If I remember what Gourd said, Dudesoft didn't know he was back alive for a little while in that game...

I see, Mr_SuNa...

Ratty, you are not helping your case. At all. There are different brands of inactivity, and yours is seriously scummy especially after that post. I've already made a case as to why Dudesoft's inactivity reads town aligned rather than scum.
Also, Dude's tremendous goofup in accusing me of being scum would not be a tolerable action among scum.
Also, I was serious about Ratty's post looking as scummy as hell. It's mocking, it scum shifts, and it meanders and staggers around an absurd analogy.

Oh and Piano, I was merely stating fact. I mean, if everyone's logic here is "you don't post much, that means you're suspicious," then how is Dude exempt? No scum-shifting to be found!
Pudds seems to be going on pre-game data, which is a bad idea. If dude were scum he would want you to think he is up to his usual shenanigans. I don't doubt that he is busy, but that don't mean he ain't scum.

I had almost forgotten about that, but our prosecutor raises an excellent point. Dudesoft made the mistake of thinking Liberty was the defense and accused Piano of being scum. Any half-invested mafia player actually double checks the court record.
Which is why I'm not as sure on LockeZ, because I think he wasn't aware until Night 1's phase was over that I had an investigative ability. I recall him stating 'if we have a cop'. We do. An immortal one. Me. Mafia would know this.

That case was that he's "busy with work." I have work too, you know. You just don't know me as well by comparison. It's not as valid of a reason for him being innocent as you may think.

^Exactly this.

Only one of my three points relies on pre-game data, and you can effectively replace it with our prosecutor's point about him making a mistake to our identities. Three points alluding to Dudesoft being town (and/or not being inactive in a way that's suspicious and warranting of a scum hunt) and now three really scummy posts from our resident Ms. Hawthorne.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Let's turn up the heat then. According to Edgeworth, I apparently already have demonstrated a pattern of jumping at every lynch opportunity, so I have nothing to lose by doing this...!

Ratty, time to make a role claim. If you're scum, and there are two scum total, you have a 64% chance of picking a role that none of the real town members have. How lucky do you feel?

May I also point out that you are insisting on redirecting our scumhunt? True, to another potential target...but you're not exactly being subtle, or even mildly town like.
Majoracan, I don't think you can say anything about bad ideas.
i hope everyone who hasn't played ace attorney goes and immediately does so after this game because holy crap
There's also the point of the SUSPECT basing his arguments entirely on the notion of looking at other people. In any court of law, the suspect is the one on trial and nobody else. The person on the stand is the only point of concern. This is because law recognizes such misdirection as a logical fallacy. There's also the analogy of the "rat" (no pun intended) squealing to get the heat off of himself.

(We're just going to pretend that accusing one of the witnesses to get my client off the hook isn't my entire strategy in every case)
So piano, I think just about anyone who is being singled out displays some kind of nervous tension, whether they are actually scum or not.
So Ratty, can you provide the court with any indication beyond joking and nervousness that you are assuredly town? Any role claims would, of course be considered and weighed against testimony from the other witnesses.
That said, I remind you that you are on trial, and nobody else. Anyone else's innocence or guilt does not negate your own. Also, don't forget that your initial defense was a very specious and misleading statement that does not endear you to the court.

Okay, I understand this.
Alright, I guess I'll role claim here: I am the Village Idiot.
...
Nah really I'm a Thief. :x

Interesting...did you use your ability at all in the night phase just passed?
Very well, then.
Thief - A thief's alignment cannot be scanned by a Detective or Reporter. A thief can also misdirect another citizen's night action to another player of their choosing.
This is an interesting role claim. Let me point out that if this claim is true, it's an ideal scum defense. Since he cannot be scanned, though I'm not sure about the limits of Puddor's ability, there's no way to verify his claim at night. Also, this role describes abilities that very similar to mafia role abilities. The ability to avoid alignment scan can be attributed to the mastermind. Redirecting a night action also echoes the mafia night kill requirement. There's a number of ways to look at this: he seemed like scum to us because his town role is so similar to mafia, his resulting playstyle was misleading, he actually is mafia and he's claiming thief because it's a similar enough role to effectively throw our case into doubt, or he is telling the truth.
There's another angle. If this roleclaim is true, it is not only an ideal target for night kill, it's likewise an ideal target for conversion. Imagine a mafia with their known skills, and the skills of the thief added to them. I only make this point so that all players know what is at stake here.
Now, as to Ratty's claim, are there any witnesses who would like to come forward to rebut, confirm, or counterclaim? Also, what is the defense's opinion?
