You've been hanging on to that one for a while, haven't you YM?
Of course I meant mobiles in general, I just call them by the common denominator (iphone in this case, since all mobiles in my house are iphones I just call mobiles iphones) and the place I got my information on that subject from was someone who lives in South Africa. I mean, I wouldn't say 59,474,500 mobiles for 50,586,757 people in South Africa is a small amount. At all. (those numbers are from 2013, btw) South Africa ranks 28th out of 69 countries in the list of number of mobiles in use. That's pretty good considering Australia is 38th on the list. Who fucking knew?
More info: Top 10 countries with mobiles vs population?
- China, India, USA, Brazil, Russia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan.
- Canada is below South Africa on the list too.

And while they aren't all actually iphones, there's a decent enough amount of them that are. Who knew?
South Africa is the 2nd largest economy in Africa and there is a massive freaking difference between an iPhone and, like, a Nokia 2310. One of them's a revolutionary critically acclaimed phone. The other's an Apple product

I think it's impossible to outright delete a post on RMN though.
At least, I remember an admin saying that at some point.

Ah, I see. That's definitely more helpful and informative than a dismissive 'Nope'. Thanks!

Pan is more about the person themselves, not about the gender. So it wouldn't matter if they were male, female, trans, hermaphrodite or anything else, you love that person.
Bi is more male/female oriented - trans usually don't fall under the header, so if you liked men and women, you'd be bi. If you liked a transwoman you'd be considered pan.
Pan is like the hippy version of sexuality. Don't care, will love. ^.^
Exactly. I was thinking of explaining it but what do I look like a guy who ain't lazy lol
Anyway, yeah I think you explained it very well Liberty

Awwwww come here Joseph. RedMask is going to hug you and make you feel all better.
No, I can delete it but I was aiming for playful trolling. Also, accidental double posts can't be helped. It's against the rules when someone deliberately double-posts.
Apparently I really need more sleep. >.<
Like I said, I use iPhone as a cover-all word for mobile phones. Comes from everyone I know having one. :/

bi is a person that likes boys and girls, pan is a person that likes people :^D
i know it sounds like the same thing, but pan also includes people outside of the binary gender spectrum and also has a lesser focus on the gendered aspect of physical attraction... or something
XD

Haha, cool! Learn something new every day! Guess that means I'm Pan as well :D
Here's a nice video that I'd like to share.

author=LibertyAndroid phones are indeed iPhones

When I first heard the word "pansexual" I couldn't distance it from the spanish word for "bread" for the longest time so it felt weird saying it :P
I could care less, YM. I don't even have a mobile phone, so as far as I give a damn I'll call it whatever. Like I said, no-one I know has anything but an iPhone so it's a catch-all name. Everyone says "iPhone iPhone" in reference to mobiles so I just picked it up.
I'm just messing with you at this point Liberty

That's fine, but it probably won't change me calling mobiles iPhones in the future. It's a case of picking up the language that is used around you, after all. But hey, if I do happen to mention iPhone in the future, you now know I probably mean mobile in general. ;p
Liberty, I only saw two people attack Cash. The rest of were very polite and respectful in our disagreement. Or are you yelling at us simply for voicing our disagreement?

author=CashmereCatauthor=SolitayreIn light of this comment I'm going to try not to spark any further argument on this. I will try to explain my motivations, though, in the following spoiler box, even though I feel that this may be a very weak wall for my emotions. If the mods seek me to remove it, then I will, out of respect.
Please please please let's not let this happy cheerful topic get dragged into a debate on ethics/morality/etc.
I'll start by saying that overall it stems from the fact that I love people. That if I deny every opportunity to persuade them that what they're doing is wrong, if this practice can send them to Hell, then in my worldview, I am allowing them to walk straight into a burning hell without any of my convincing, or any of my persuasion. Because I love people, I refuse to watch someone choose what I see to be sin because, in my mind, they are only hurting themselves. What I see is a massive institutionalization of sin, according to what I believe. Romans 1:29-32 implies that one is not approve that those who practice a deed that you believe is wrong. And I need to be willing to state this dissatisfaction, even in spite of what kind of hatred I may receive for it, because it is what I believe to be right. If I didn't do this, my Christian faith would be meaningless because it would mean I don't care for people with God's love.
I get the feeling that will make people hate me and what are essentially what I believe to be Christ's ideals even more, but I'm not doing this for myself. I'm doing this at pains of myself but for the love of God, trusting that it is the right thing to do. And I'm not going to apologize for it.
I still associate and am friends with homosexuals/bisexuals/every other kind of -sexual there is, but I do not claim to be tolerant of their behaviour, much like I am not tolerant of deceit, or unrighteous anger, or any other thing I see to be sin. I see these sins in myself as well as every other human being, but that does not mean I reckon to institutionalize it.
I found this to be pretty interesting in regards to the Christian lifestyle.
author=LibertyFor what it's worth, though, the kind of stance you're taking ("picking up the language that is used around you") is identical to the one that people take when using language some may deem offensive...

author=pianotmNo, as I said earlier, I happened to come in on the two more aggressive posts and had just woken up, so I was voicing my general disapproval towards those. Honestly I saw the two and thought "Oh fuck off not more of this shit" and posted.
Liberty, I only saw two people attack Cash. The rest of were very polite and respectful in our disagreement. Or are you yelling at us simply for voicing our disagreement?
It's more aimed at the replies by emmych, pizza and your original post (which was a bit antagonistic, equating the act of stoning people with not liking gay marriage).
I've clarified in my post, though, that it was aimed at a few, not everyone.
@YM: Except I wasn't aware it was bad or insulting to call a mobile an iPhone or that it hurt the mobile's feelings, made it feel bad about itself or the like. Geez. It's a fucking telephone. It doesn't give a shit what it's called. You're trying to make a mountain out of a molehill over someone calling a mobile an iPhone. :/
