AMERICAN ELECTIONS '08

So has everyone made up their mind who they are going to vote for yet? I guess I am leaning democrat, but there's still quite some time left. What about the rest of you all?
I created a computer program that caculates in various statistics about what they're going to do from everything to the war to off-shore drilling to chance of dieing in office by using various internet feeds, with a hint of randomness and who the publics leaning on, and chooses the one that best fits want I want and need.
Currently it shows McCain
Actually, I don't like either of them that much, maybe I'll show my hate for both of them by not voting? When you think about it, it doesn't make that much difference seeing as how we still don't vote directly for the president, the people we elect to the electorial college do.

Well, even if you hate both of them, you should still try to vote for the person that is the "lesser of evils," don't you think?
Man, my whole extended family is registered Liberals but I don't even think that I would vote for the Liberals this time around. To be honest it seems like they have no fucking clue what the hell they are doing other than playing the political game. Its not like they are the NDP and have a clear platform, because they are the "we do whatever the public wants" party.
As an individual financial well being has improved under Harper, and the fact that they are checked by the minority prevents them from getting away with cuts that are too drastic. It looks like he runs a pretty tight ship, so I will probably vote to keep the Conservative MP in my area.

get involved in local politics. unless you live in a swing state, then your presidential vote isn't going to mean a rats ass. truth.
that being said, its still important to vote for who you want to be president, in hopes to make your state a swing state, or to secure your already one-sided state's vote.

Don't vote. You would then be subscribing to the new world order.
Obama and McCain are puppets of this new world order. (Especially McCain.) Instead of creating a small government, they are manipulated by people whose true aim is to secretly govern the entire world.
With Bush it has been Iraq/Afghanistan.
With Obama/McCain it will be Iran/Pakistan/Russia.
Er, if I had to support one of them, I would go for Obama, due to lack of Palin.
Palin is dumb. If McCain dies, she becomes president. That is a no-no.

B.. But.. Sarah Palin is the Sexy Librarian.. Haha. I'll just say Obama cause he's black and the politics of America don't concern me even though they get more attention then our own election coming up. Unless one of them have said they wanted to invade New Zealand then.. I'm fucked.

That. She's basically just another link in the republican's chain to control all the oil. Her husband is an oil tycoon and she's a big investor in drilling. She also seems to care nothing for the environment. In fact, she encourages the hunting of wolves (which, due to one of the Bush administration's last acts, are no longer protected as an endangered species (not like that stopped her before)(and the real reason that act was passed was to gain surefire support of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming for the republican party, as those states are apparently avid wolf-haters (they'll of course know that any democrat is going to try and protect the wolves, so they won't vote democrat))) >.>

Her husband is far from an oil tycoon -- he's currently works for BP Oil in a non-management role as a union worker. Prior to his wife becoming governor, he was a production supervisor. Not exactly CEO material. He took a leave of absence to avoid a conflict of interest, but had to go back to work when they couldn't afford to live on his wife's $122,000 salary.
I would be more concerned about her stance on Polar Bears and aerial hunting.
Obama's not BLACK; he's HALF-black. Why do Americans not see the white side of him???
...meh, I'd vote for Obama anyway.

author=Yellow Magic link=topic=1927.msg31648#msg31648 date=1221415557His campaign plays him up as "the first black nominee," so people basically either believe he is black, or play along because it's not really that important.
