I, uh, actually looked at the book today and went "hm... nah" and went back to playing FFXIV, but I'll jump back into it some time later today when I've had time to sleep a bit. ^.^;

Oh, okay then. :)
You stumble back, another chill running through you from the first enemy, who grabs at your arm, as the second follows the first slash with another, cutting deep into the arm you bring up just in time to save your neck.

Adrenaline courses through you and you leap up, swinging the crowbar around in a wild arc in retaliation for the burning pain in your other arm. It hits the second enemy a crushing blow to it's head, causing it to crumble onto it's hands and knees in the snow. You grip the dagger in the hand of your injured arm, trying to ignore the pain as you stab it into the eye of the downed creature before you.

A touch on your injured arm cools the pain a bit, numbing it with the cold touch of the other enemy, who grabs at it, trying to wrestle you away from its now-dead comrade. Glowing eyes glare up at you and you feel a chill that has nothing to do with the ghosts' icy touch run up your spine. You can't move your legs and it feels as though you've been frozen on the spot!

Enemy unlocks the ability of Ice Glare!
- Ice Touch: -1 Stamina
- Slash: -2 Stamina (goes last)
- Ice Glare: 50% chance of stunning you for one turn (coin toss)

There was another part to this where you take an extra 3 damage from something the first ghost does whilst dying but I overlooked it when writing the description, so... I figure Ice Glare is a good enough substitute instead. ^.^

Show Ghost our cool flying horse medallion. Maybe it'll be impressed and ease off.

Personally, I would have gone with drinking a stamina drink, and then whacking it with the crowbar.
The enemy lashes out and punches you in the stomach. You double over, winded, but thankfully the knock broke eye contact and you can move again! You dig around in your pockets, trying to find your stamina potion. You grab the flying horse medallion, think about showing it off, then realise it'd be stupid to do so when no prompt was given to do so in the midst of such a heated battle. Instead, you fish around a bit more, trying to keep an eye on the enemy without catching it's eye again as it glares at you.

You pull out the potion and swig it down, taking care not to choke. The enemy lurches towards you, it's icy hand grabbing your injured arm - a lame attempt at trying to stop you from drinking the potion, you're sure. You retaliate by slamming the crowbar down on it's arm, hoping to dislodge it, even though you're thankful for the numbing cold that seeps into the wounds, keeping them from being too painful.
-1 Stamina Potion
+10 Stamina (half 19 = 9.5, rounded up)

Unlike true D&D stuff, I'll let you know if an item can be used, or just use it if it's a case of 'if have this item, then, if not, then'. I did the same thing with the climbing set - used it instead of risking falling down the cliff like a dunce. If you can use something to stave off a battle, I'll add it in, or if a certain item has a use in a particular event, I'll be sure to point it out.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.
