Hero's Realm:
  • Fixed up the Colossus - teleportation issues
  • Mapped the Inverted Tower (it's a cave, really)
  • Mapped the Towers of Ziam (this one is actually a tower)

My whole point was "I'm not game making" and also " >:(" about it.

But seriously I at least intend to do some major project on Mage Duel tomorrow.
Today i have done nothing and am probably too busy throughout the day to do anything. I will work on it tomorrow.

from 4:00pm til 11pm:
-Finished the concept for the main mecha of Star Light Romance - Ethereal Moon. Took all this time mainly to define details of the design and chose detail colors, now it is just spriting the actual charset. Made it all on paint then pimped it on Photoshop:

Yesterday I made a few monster designs, colored, and scanned them in, and added them to the database. I am looking to start bugtesting in the next few days.

I prefer Paint´s line too, plus it is lighter for my PC. Only use Photoshop for things paint cannot do so well (adding text, layers, transparency and palette editing) anyway, thanks!

10/8 I was working maps of count Dark Shadow's mansion today... :O And finished some more npc sprites.

Oh yeah, here's the werewolf I finished earlier. In the preview version he's missing his tail in lot of poses, and when he walks to left or right, there's an error with one pixel in the ears. :D I've fixed those now though.

Anyway:
Started 4:00pm til 6:20pm
Edit the layout for my mech artwork (since it will be the same for all SLR mechs, it is relatively important) so it is better to see the unit on itself. And also made the front view walking sprite for said mech.

Clest, That is awesome. You have some serious skills,

Today,~8:15-10:00:
Created a system to teach you a new Out of Class spell at the end of each Act/major boss fight in Mage Duel, and then, because I had deleted my save games because I wanted the demo to ship without any, I had to make a new character and play through the entirety of Mage Duel to properly test it, eating almost two hours of development time. D'oh! The system itself seems to be functional, though.

I planned to continue working, but admittedly, that took away a lot of my steam. I'll keep plugging away, it just looks like today's gonna be a lot less productive than I initially thought.

Today,~8:15-11:30:

D'oh! The system itself seems to be functional, though.

After that I created but did not test the transitional cutscene (a fascinating dialog between you and Rast with several conversation options) that tkaes place between the gameplay of Act I and Act II. Maybe tomorrow I will actually get around to what I intended to do today, which is to say make sure that the Arena in Act II looks different than it did in Act I; update NPCs in the underworks and change the background Audience and panning for the actual arena itself.

Actually might have a game underway. I just quickly jotted down a story idea. I'll be going for a very traditional RPG, I just want something to work on, basically. I might actually start doing some of it later tonight in VX.

Absolutly nothing. I am getting extremely crammed with homework that eats at my four hours of free time on school nights. I am also indecisive as to which of my projects to continue, and I usually end up just listening to the music I put in them.

I should make a lot of progress this weekend though, if I can get my mouse to move in the left direction. (right now it won't go left - only left-up and left-down, and it gets on my nerves badly.)

Summary: HELP!
Yesterday I completed my Items and Magic map on my test CBS. Today, I'm going to add all those items and spells in and make them work! I'm also going to add the HP, MP and ATB bar HUD ;D

The CBS is only featuring a single battle that will show my programming prowess ;) When it's done, I will be sure to post a video. Then I'll make a tutorial explaining how to make a CBS (since those are so rare nowadays....they used to be common, but it looks like people preserve their secrets now)
