It looks really nice, but it also looks like it'd be a nightmare to animate.
And yeah, sprite portraits take a lot longer than just general CG'ing. I'm surprised you made the shift-over (this is what.. the third time you've changed art styles?)

Actually I find it easier to animate bigger ones (not toooo big)
The reason why I shift is because once I changed style subconsciously i can't draw the old style again ._.;;;
So to make things easier I decided to make pixel stuff instead and resizing them is annoying
this is animated btw :3

Hey, Ness, I really like your Gunslinger Girl sprite and in this same sentence I've told you what anime it reminded me of.
Oh right, today was supposed to be a drive for me. Well I've been working whole day anyway. :)
10/15
I've been working more on the first level of the game that is basically a dark library. It should be finished today. I just finished coding some stuff for all the levels generally, like what determines your ranking for the level, (S/A/B/C/D/E) depending on time elapsed, health gained or lost, etc. And well, made a generator that changes the location of the level objectives on each play time.
And right now I'm making more images for the menu, for options to proceed on next level, and "using one of the Nine Precious."

I've been too busy these last few days so i haven't had a chance to work on it but i will later tonight.
Also, sweet avatar Ness. :)

You know what, I'm not even going to bother saying anything with these any more.

Yes, I based her character design off of a certain stripper. But it was interesting.

*Midterm's over!* Back to work!
Yesterday, I wrote out story and location information for three areas in my walkthrough/planner, in preparation for the Grand Reopening of my Drive. The land will be so large in one area, that you'll need something to ride on.

Enemies now -die- when you kill them. This is new, and good news for the protagonists. That chicken test sprite was a goddamn zombie eighty times over. No more, it is passed on. Also, the enemy now turns to face its attacker (unless it's being mauled from behind) which is quite useful. These two things done, a big obstacle is out of my way, so I'm glad. I'd been putting these off because they were so damn tedious. Grr. Oh, and more music.

Yesterday, I added some more events in the first town and added some treasures to the maps. Now, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where to go.

So, today I made a template for all the maps the game consists of, and actually finished most of them. Only ones left I have still to make, are the actual levels with gameplay that require further detail and design.
I've got only 8 days left and I started to pick up the pace, because I really need to finish the game. Though because I estimated the game duration wrong, I need to cut pretty much it from the quality. :( I can't put as much detail and focus on everything I do, so some things will be left quite half-assed, especially now that I need to start hurrying. Like, I did put a lot of focus in the first level of the game, and all that, and even back then I was cutting about half of the detail I usually pay attention to.
So, well, I got most of the maps done by now, and I started directing the main events, so I can add the levels as the last bit later. 4-5 more levels to make... hmm. Well here's a screen of one of the scenes I started today:
The writing and language may be pretty bad, but it'll go through the editor (who has english his native language) before game release:

Week of October 13~17
S.I.M.
Im very sad to say I did Not finish it. BUT! I did make some serious head way. I hope to release a demo and thread for it soon, But since I have so many ideas for it, I don't think I'll every release a full game. Anyways, look for a demo/thread by next week. Probably the 20th.
Total Time Spent This Week: Way to much time to record maybe like 40~ish, (About 8 hours a day)

Started work on a new game for game maker. Currently i am planning out the story, characters and a bloody title for it. I'll probably start actual design on it tomorrow.
Total time spent: 1 hour.

TODAY (see above) - Game: 1873
I coded a half-ass way for roofs to disappear when you walk behind them. This way, I can put entrances on side of buildings instead of just the front.
I also made use of some iMacs at school to compress some of my mp3s into WAVs and remove repetitions from some of my tracks. Now I'm at about 3~7 MB with each of my FIVE mp3s. However, with RTP, I'm sitting at 60 MB (This counts all the stuff I'm not using - after RMTool does its thing, I'm expecting around MAYBE 14~17 MB.)
Total Time Spent: about 2 hours in spurts of 15 minutes or so.
