Well, I WILL take the opportunity and strike with my sword.

Damn! Demon energy infusing the blade? Who are these guys? What is their purpose? Why did they attack that man? The most important question: why did I jump into it like an idiot? Guards will be here any minute and the second they see me, no matter how this goes, it'll be my fault. It's a basic law of the universe. My ribs burn like fire, but I've felt worse. Worse than this idiot can imagine if he thinks a cut from that little demon knife will put me down. Well, at least the dagger is gone now. The idiot should have pressed the attack instead of fumbling for a new weapon. If "ifs" and "ands" were pots and pans, there'd be no work for tinker's hands.

---Turn 3---
The half elf stumbles, her vision blurry, and feels an immense pressure in her lungs. She can barely breath and tries to find her weapon. She coughs out a puff of black smoke and instantly feels better. She easily picks up the gun, a few meter away, and stands up, orienting herself and cursing her misfire. The man, the apparent target, walks up to the bowmen who looks warily at him.
The man speaks:
"With your condition, you shouldn't be out here in the broad sunlight, sir. I recommend going back inside and finding a shady corner to rest."
The bowman looks at the mage curiously, a look a fury quickly turns into fear as he looks up to the sky and at himself, then attempts to flee. The mage stands there and nods as the bowman apparently took his advice. The drow, enraged by the audacity of the bowman to cut her, lunges at him as he tries to flee. Plunging the sword through the bowman’s back and instantly dropping a hand to cover her wound, the man collapses and slides off her sword. The mage looks intently at the face of the drow and recognizes a plethora of emotion: Rage, fear, confusion, and grim surety. Of course, she killed the man who shot that delicious demoni arrow, and that arrow hurt a lot. In fact, the cheek wound is only just starting to numb in the cold.

A group of guards surround the front of the Plaza Premium where the two dead bodies lay and a drow and human mage, both with wounds, stand. The drow hides her surprise at the swiftness of the guard’s response. A crowd begins to gather as one of the guards, an apparent commander, steps forth.
“And just what sort of ‘accident’ has happened here?”
He says looking at the Drow, his face seeming all too forced to be neutral.
Some tavern goers start to step out to investigate the commotion.

Conversation will commence outside of turns. Only when a new scene is needed or travel is required will we wait for all actions to be in before it counts as "turn 4"

Actions should still be bolded.

Gesturing to the mage: "Ask him. He's the one they were trying to kill. I'm just the one who was dumb enough to get in the middle of it."

The guards shakes his head, like shaking off confusion, and says to two other guards
"Yes, yes, let's do this by the book. Gerald, keep those people away from the bodies. Michael, investigate the bodies."
Pointing to the Drow and mage he commands
"You two, you're coming with me to the Holding. You'll be treated there, then interrogated."
He then motions to the remaining two guards, a female Tundarin and a human male.
They get behind the two and motion them forward. The commander leads the way as he takes the mage and drow down the northern street, the other two taking up the rear.

Meanwhile the Half-Elf gets a tap on the shoulder. She immediately turns around to see a human female. The female quickly signals the sign of Viria and gestures to an alleyway. The female then turns swiftly and walks into it.

"Apologies, Officer, but I don't understand your question. I was just trying to calm down these two obviously confused vampires here when-" turning around towards Leara "-this friendly young lady... Oh, my goodness! You're a Drow, aren't you?! How fascinating. I don't think I've seen one of your kind in a long time. Is it true that a large part of the vocabulary of your language is in fact derived from demon names? My name is Aldus, a pleasure to meet you."
At this point, I'm so distracted by Leara's presence that I don't attempt to resist my arrestation any more.

To guard: "Yes, sir."

To Aldus: "The pleasure is mine. I hope they didn't hurt you badly. And now's probably not the time to discuss my native language."

Do as instructed.

Going down the street, looks of curiosity make their way towards the pair. The guards deter the spectators with glares as they approach the town hall. Right next to the entrance they turned abruptly right and walked down a set of stairs that curved below the building. In the brick basement they passed cells with the occasional prisoner inside. At the end of the cell hallway was a room with a wooden table and two chairs.

"Alright, one at a time. Drow, we'll start with you."
He then gestures for her to follow. Once inside he closes the door and takes a seat on the opposite side and gestures for the drow to do the same.
"Now.. who are you, what are you doing here, and what happened in the plaza?"

Outside, the two guards stand and keep the mage where he is.

Almost forgot: Turn the charm up to maximum

To the guard: "My name is Leara and I am a wandering street performer. I found a spot where nobody would mind me performing and began to play and sing through the songs I know. I wasn't having a bad day either when these two fellows raise bows. The man they were about to kill was the other fellow you brought along. He didn't seem to notice. I didn't give much thought to anything beyond helping the oblivious man that was about to be assassinated so I attacked the assassin nearest me. I shouted to draw his attention away from his target. He went down. The other one turned to me and attacked me. He had a dagger...it disintegrated, but," gestures to her wound, "you can see I didn't imagine it. Thin air didn't make this cut. It burned like fire; way more than it should have. I struck back and then you appeared."

Considering my mouth is probably full of blood at this point, I cast Prestidigitation to create a crude napkin and press it on my cheek.
Too bad the Drow is already gone again at this point. There was so much more we could have talked about. Oh well. I turn towards one of the guards watching me and ask: "Say, my friend, you wouldn't happen to have heard anything about Energy Crystals found nearby, would you?"
(They'll probably have hard time understanding me, though, considering the aforementioned blood and napkin in my face.)

P.S.: When I cast Implant Memory earlier, I forgot to roll a d100 for my chaotic effect. In case you want to retroactively apply that, I just rolled it and got a 28. My d100 roll for this round's Prestidigitation is a 76.
By the way, do any of my other spells besides Implant Memory have a cooldown as well?
I walk towards the alleyway to speak to the human

The 28 is irrelevant now, it only had effect in combat.

Aldus, with a wave of his hand, spawns a napkin out of thin air and proceeds to clean his wound with it. Around 5 seconds later he flashes bright blue and and continues to glow. The two guards step back quickly and avert their eyes until the light is bearable.
"Hey! Stop that at once!" the human cries
"What? Oh, this'll go away any minute, no doubt. Say, you wouldn't happen to know anything about Energy Crystals, the ones found in the mine, would you?"
The tundarin speaks
"He said to turn that light down! Now!"
After cleaning his cheek Aldus puts his hands up:
"I said just give it a few moments!"
"That light is impeding our vision, this is an act of aggression, stand down!"
The tundarin says rather robotic.
After 10 more seconds the light begins to fade, and eventually Aldus is no longer glowing blue.
"Geez, was that so hard?" The human asks aggravated.
"I didn't do anything." Aldus replies
"Now, about those energy crystals..."
The tundarin cuts Aldus off quickly
"Alright, yes, crystals made of pure, crystallized energy. Very valuable, apparently. Now, shut up."

Inside the chamber, the commander asks
"They raised bows? Where did the bows go, there weren't any as far as I could see, and Michael will find out if there were any arrows around. And, the dagger "Disintegrated"? How? What happened, Drow, I need specifics."
"The only reason I don't charge you for murder right here is because of your wound and your claim of defense. So, if the truth will keep you out of prison, I suggest you tell it! The whole of it!"

The half-elf walks into the alley after the human. Once halfway down the human speaks quietly.
"You have a new task. I will be killing the Tundarin Priest; you are to find out where those Shadowmen, the ones who tried to kill that mage, are hiding. We cannot have competition with Viria's favor. Luckily the Drow stopped them in their tracks and gave them failure."
She looks around then leans in and whispers even more
"Perhaps you might 'convince' her to help you find them. Now, I'm off. Try not to have anymore misfires."
She giggles to herself at her last remark then fades into shadow.

Maintains charm

There were no bows? But that doesn't make sense! "I--I am telling the truth. I was playing the lute and I saw--I just saw two guys in black with black bows. They were pointing them at the man you brought in with us." Leara can't help but get agitated. She tries to keep her voice steady. "One fired an arrow and hit the man. That's what the cut on his face is from. I don't know what happened to the bows. I distracted the one man from shooting and the other one slashed me with a dagger. I certainly didn't do it to myself and that man out there didn't hit his own face with an arrow." Her eyebrows draw together as she begins to get upset. "I should have just ignored them. I'd still be outside playing, and I probably wouldn't care one way or the other about a complete stranger getting killed."

whoopsie, did I not say that the bows also disintegrated after use!?

You can edit your responses with this in mind if you want, my bad.

"The bow disappears as his vision fades to black"

I think this was my only mention of it...

No! I was reacting in character! She wouldn't have noticed the bows appearing because she was playing the lute, and she wouldn't have noticed them disappearing because she was too busy fighting.

fearful, I don't think that action would be possible at this moment, considering that Leara is currently being questioned inside the guard house. Casually approaching her like that at this moment might prove to be difficult.

----------------------------

What were these people so upset about, anyway, I wonder. It doesn't seem like they are much for conversation, either. I'd much rather talk to the Drow lady a bit more, so I turn around and try to open the door to the room she just went into.
hmmm... i see your point.
i look forward to seeing where this goes. thank you for spending the time putting this together.

Falith looks down the street as the guards seem to be escorting the drow along with the mage. She's mixed up in the legal process, it might take a while... and the Shadowmen don't take their time.

The guard weakens, the drow's confusion and desperation getting to him.
"Well, it seems that we need clarification."
The commander motions Leara to a corner and she goes there. As she does so the commander gets up when the door opens and the mage walks in. The guards close behind him, yelling at him to halt.
"Hey, what are you-"
The commander's words are interrupted by the mage's address to the drow.
"Ah! There you are! The two out there are rather boring, I'd like to speak a bit more with you, miss!"
The commander grabs his shoulder and turns the mage towards him.
"I'd like to ask some questions first, sir, if that's alright with you." The commander says rather acerbically. "Sit down, and you stay silent"
He says the last pointing at Leara.
After he sits down he asks "So, what gave you that wound on your cheek?"

Falith, after following them, stops outside the Town Hall. They're in there, she's sure. While thinking of a plan of action, she senses a spell being cast.
