Got any Dexreth amulets?

Out of character for a second: I'm not sure I understood the situation correctly, but here's what I got. The guard commander wants to let us go free, but he's afraid that the townsfolk will get upset if he releases Leara because many of them are racist against Drow. So he pretended to want to keep us here, but left the door unlocked so we can escape. Is this correct?

I'm not one to be flummoxed by a lummox.

I have no idea what this means. Bardic English is hard.

----------------------------

"Well, I don't know how you feel, Leara, but I find it's getting a little boring in here. Let's head to the mines, shall we? We can always come back later."

I make a few random gestures with my hands and murmur some made-up words, thereby casting Chaotic Summon. Then I move towards the door and try to push it open.

(My Chaotic Magic roll is a 48.)

P.S.: Did we actually regain HP and/or get cured by the dwarf? If so, our character statuses don't reflect that yet.

"The mechanism is not set" means the locking mechanism was not put into place: the locking of the door didn't happen, the door is not locked.

Also, I'm combining 5th edition skill proficiencies with Paizo Pathfinder's skill ranks system. This means you get the proficiency bonus on certain skills due to your class, and any skill you put a rank into increases further. This is to have natural talent due to the class you have and whatever you want your character to be trained in. A dwarf fighter may not be naturally stealthy, but if he trains in the art of stealth enough, he can sneak too, gaining the upper-hand in battle with surprise attacks.
So, the list of skill proficiencies is ALL skills you have a natural knack for and thus get the bonus. You put rank points into the skills you want to be trained in. Your character has 4 rank points to put into whatever skill you want, you don't have to put ranks into the skills you're proficient in!
I would consider "Streetwise" to fall under the History skill.

(Well, you're in luck! Because it's not bardic English! There's no such thing. It's simple lyrical speaking. Flummox means confused or puzzled, and lummox is another word for a simpleton.)

Leara looks at the mage in confusion. She could have swore that she just suggested leaving not 2 seconds ago. She suddenly can't help but smile at the silliness of the conversation. "You...kind of...live in your own little world, don't you?" Leara gestures to the door. "Lead the way, my good mage!"

Leara watches him, thinking that sooner or later, she's going to have to ask him his name.

EDIT: In that case, I want STEALTH. Give two points to stealth and two points to diplomacy.

(I know bardic English doesn't really exist, I was just jokingly referring to Leara's very distinct poetic style of speaking. Thanks for the clarification!
Also, I did actually introduce myself to you by name earlier right here.)

"Oh, I've tried to. Multiple times, in fact, but like most things they have a tendency of not staying in the same position or state for very long. I hope at some point I'll get it right, though. Another project for the future, I suppose."

(So you did! I stand corrected!)

Leara keeps from laughing. Carefully open door and look outside.

the human and drow have not emerged from the basement yet and you haven't even entered the building yet or know where they are exactly.

Where am I being unclear about people's locations?

Except that despite this location discrepancy, I can still use this action, I can interpret it as you anticipating them both to emerge.
sorry i must just be reading what I wanted to hear. i will get better at this...

Piano, Diplomacy is not on the list of skills I posted on the OP. Diplomacy falls under Persuasion, so unless you say otherwise that’s where the two points will go. Here’s the list as on the OP:
Arcobatics(Dex)
Appraise(Int)
Animal Handling(Wis)
Arcana(Int)
Athletics(Str)
Deception(Cha)
Disable Device(Dex)
Disguise(Cha)
Fly(Dex)
History(Int)
Insight(Wis)
Intimidation(Cha)
Investigation(Int)
Medicine(Wis)
Nature(Int)
Perception(Wis)
Performance(Cha)
Persuasion(Cha)
Religion(Int)
Sleight of Hand(Dex)
Stealth(Dex)
Survival(Wis)

@fearful: It may be you, or it could be me. If you really think it’s you then alright, but if you have the slightest thought that it may be me, then say so and say why so I can improve.
----Turn 4----
After performing the spell, shadows with blue highlights and waves of blue across it’s surface take the form of of Rock. The blue highlights and waves turn red as the small creature gains two solid ovals as eyes and looks at it’s master expectantly. The shadows look as if it’s rock floating on an extremely viscous fluid. No more than 5 seconds later a burst of light shines from behind the door. Leara, after opening the door, looks out to see a Large, white horse’s rear end. The horse freaks out and starts charging down the hall, stopping at the staircase and turns around in the tight corridor. The horse has the beard of a goat and a long ivory horn on its brow. Its eyes are wild and confused. It bobs its head in a warning towards both Leara and Aldus.

Falith waits outside the building. The dwarf re-emerges and heads straight to the Gaia door, and a short while after the commander and some guards come up as well. Falith wonders where the drow is, and thinks that perhaps the drow had been convicted due to racial prejudice. Slightly Irritated, she begins to leave when she hears a ruckus downstairs and senses an extremely good presence.

(No. Give the two points to Performance. I can add to Deception or Persuasion when I level up.)

"Oh dammit!" Leara gestures for Aldus to follow. "Aldus! We have to catch it!"

Pursue the horse/unicorn.

I think this sentence got cut off there.

--------------------

"I thought we were going to the mines. This seems like an opportune time to..."
Oh, she's already running after the horned horse. All right, if it means so much to her. What difference are a few minutes more or less going to make? I order Petrock to block the horse's path and help me and Leara with catching it.
"Be careful not to walk into the horn, Leara!"

(What kind of skill or check would be required to identify or guess what type of creature Petrock and/or the unicorn are, and what abilities they might possess?)

Fixed, and to identify these creatures you must make a Nature or Arcana check for the unicorn and for your summon only an Arcana check can identify it. Once you know what it is you can make fairly accurate guesses to what exactly they can do.

NeverSilent, you have advantage on the Arcana check to identify your summon since you summoned it. Advantage means you roll twice and take the higher result.

Can I still do that this turn, or do I need to take a full turn with no other actions for that?
(By the way, does giving orders to my summon use up my action, or would that count as a bonus action?)
Seiromem

You can still do it this turn, it's more of "Look and see" which doesn't take much time at all. We'll call it a "Free" action, meaning it costs nothing.

Oh, the unicorn stopped! I didn't notice, I'm so impulsive. I've changed my mind.

Cancel last action.

Approach horse/unicorn cautiously, attempting to calm.

Roll an Animal Handling or Persuasion check piano.

This also makes me wonder, are you guys really keen on rolling for yourselves? If so, I'll continue to tell you what to roll for what action, or to save space (which we don't really need to do) I can do the roll based on your action. Which one?

Or you can just edit your previous action with the roll you got after I told you the roll. That sounds best.
NeverSilent

6299
Cool! I'll do that, then. Let's take a look at this horned horse first, since that's the one we're actually concerned about right now.
So, I hope I got this all right. Arcana is based on Int, which means I get +5 to my roll. I'm also proficient in it, which means another +2, and I put one skill point into Arcana, which results in one more bonus point. I rolled a 14, to which I can add my total bonus of +8. So that turns into a 22. Did I do that correctly?

(Also, I probably should stop casting so many spells with Aldus, before I turn this entire campaign into a mess with my crazy side effects. I'm really trying to not make him too obnoxious, but it's actually very hard to play this character well. Sorry, guys.)

I think I like this solution best.

I rolled a 4! And no ability modifier because I dumped everything into stealth and performance! Yay! Well, this is going to be interesting.

"Wait horsey! I'm nice! If I had an apple I'd give it to you."
(hey guys i don't think i have the energy to keep this up. i just don't think it's my cuppa. really sorry)
