I start to answer the amnesia question but only get half a syllable out before Aldus continues talking. "Oh, yes, thank you," I respond when he asks if I'd like to share a meal, but he continues talking over me.
Finally I get a chance to respond. "I heard a wolf and thought I could sneak up on it. I've hunted wolves before but never by myself." I start to tear up inexplicably. "Sorry for being trouble. Sorry. Sorry!"
I suddenly turn my face away from the others and start clearing the snow to build a fire. However, I regain my composure as quickly as I lost it.
"I don't know what amnesia is," I say, and then look at Aldus. "Is that what you have, that made the back of your ears fall off? Or did someone do that to you?"

I like this child. I smile, walk over to her and tell her: "Don't worry, Agnelia, everything's fine. You've been a great help. And you put yourself at risk for people you didn't know. Not everybody would have done that."
While attempting to help the others build a little fireplace, I continue talking: "And you don't know what amnesia is? Hm, likely an effect of the amnesia... Well, it means having lost one's memory, partially or completely. I don't think it usually has anything to do with one's ears, though. I was just born this way. Although, come to think of it, it's of course possible I was once an elf, and someone cut off my ears or transformed me into a human, and I forgot about it due to amnesia. It's not very likely, mind you, but not impossible. Hm..."
My voice slowly turns into unintelligible mumbling as my thoughts start drifting away.

Let's cook and eat the wolves.
Leara's skin is a very dark blue. Her cheeks are dark to the point of almost being black. One eye is green and the other is brown, and her hair is silver. It's long and messy and she keeps it tied into a pony tail. It's her ears that give her away as being an elf. Though during the fight with the wolves or with the brigands, there is a strong chance Aldus might have thought her eyes were red, if he was paying attention. She's tall, much taller than the typical elf. Indeed, she stands nose to nose with many humans, standing at 5' 9". Also, it's not obvious at the moment being dressed for winter, but her muscles are very well toned. Now, it's quite a thing, this. It's rather obvious this description, except for the mismatched eyes, could apply to a quarter of all Drow women. So, it might behoove to describe her slouching posture, which she adopted to seem less threatening to surface folk, and which always seems to vanish at the promise of combat. Then there are her her long, well defined fingers, well suited to playing a musical instrument. Also, the very tip is missing off of one those ears; not much, and not noticeable, but you'll see it if you look. A lute shares space with a sack dangling from her shoulders.
"Wolf meat, my friend, is tough and gamey. Rather rough on the teeth, I fear. Quite poetic, I'm afraid:
"The mighty lupine hunter is brought lo!
Devoured by his intended prey!
With gnashing teeth and snapping bones
He fell to the mightier hunter, this day!
"Wait a minute! You humans are supposed to have taboos about eating wolf meat! And I'm sorry, she says she's hunted wolves before, but she doesn't know what amnesia is because of the amnesia? Does amnesia work like that? And mines? She remember her name? She doesn't own shoes. She remembers an awful lot for someone with amnesia."
Leara turns briefly to Agnelia, "Oh, I'm sorry. If you don't want to talk about what happened, I'm not going to ask you to. You don't have to pretend. Just point the way and I'll give a good lickin' to whoever left a kid out in the cold." But there's one thing Leara can't wrap her head around. "No, shoes...Aren't you cold?"

Everyone roll a survival check.
That's the survival skill + wis mod

I clap for a few seconds after Leara has finished her song. "That was beautiful, my friend!
"Taboos? Oh, an unfortunate custom indeed. Rather limiting, if you ask me. Now, what taste would you like for your wolf meat? I think I'll have apple today. How about you, Agnelia? Any specific preferences?"
My survival roll is only a 6. I get one bonus point because I just put a skill point into survival, but my -1 wis modififier evens that out. So the total is still a 6. Either way, though, I will cast Prestidigitation on the meat once it's prepared to flavour each portion according to the respective person's wishes.
"Hm, that is a good question, Leara. Does amnesia work that way, or does it not? If Agnelia indeed has amnesia, she might be able to tell us, except that she would have probably forgotten the details if she has amnesia. A fascinating paradox."

If my survival skill says (+6)Survival(1) do I add 1 or 6 to my roll? And then do I add the same +wis modifier as I get for saving throws on top of that? Or a different amount? Or is the wis modifier included in that +6 already?
My base roll is a 19, but I have no idea how your skill system works.
"Um, apple is fine, thank you."
I touch my finger to my lower lip and look at the sky. "I think my memory is fine. I guess I wouldn't know if it wasn't though..."

The first number is the bonus (the one with the +) the second number is how many skill points you put into it. If I'm not mistaken you put 1 skill point in it and have a +5 wis mod, therefor you have a +6, since you're not proficient with Survival.
Leara manages to construct a good campfire with timber Aldus collected. Agnelia skins the wolves perfectly and takes perfect slices of meat from it and begins to cook it.
Agnelia pointed out the perfect spot for this campfire, sheltering them form the wind and preventing forest fires. Snow had been cleared and dusk has come.

"Thank you! Thank you! You're too kind!"
"I don't have a problem with the taste. It's how tough the meat is. It's like eating old shoe leather." Leara turns to Agnelia. "Let me tell you what it's like to be missing a memory. It's like having the answer to a question but not being able to find it. You know that something is there but you can't grasp it. Now, there is a type of amnesia where you don't experience that, but people usually don't recover from that kind. And anyway, you seem alert, focused and in reasonably good health...aside from the fact that you're covered in blood. You'd be in a very different condition, I think, if you had that kind of amnesia. But I'm just prattling on. I understand if you don't want to talk about it. I know all about not wanting to talk about things."

I start looking myself over with a concerned look and ask, "Is there something wrong with my blood?"
I smile at Agnelia and say: "Not at all. The only problem might be that some of it is currently outside instead of inside your body. Although I must say you've recovered remarkably quickly for a living being. I can clean you if you want, though."
Edit: Sniped. Oh well.

"I like blood," I say as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
Without waiting for any further response, I lay down in the snow and go to sleep.

"Oh! She'd get on famously with my mother." She turns to Aldus. "Do you want to take first watch, or should I?"
(I'm having flashbacks to The Highlander's Tomb. What's it with creepy children in your forum games, Seiromem?)
"We should probably try to bandage up our wounds as best as we can before we go to sleep. After that, I'll gladly take first watch, though. Mind if I call in a little help?"
Assuming the remaining two turns of the cooldown have passed by now, I cast Chaotic Summon to have someone(?) to keep watch together with me.
My Chaotic Magic roll is a 91.
Edit: I'll take a medicine check to tend to Leara's wounds as well. I rolled a 16, which makes for a total score of 18.

Your injuries are treated and will heal overnight.
A shadowy, blue dog materializes next to Aldus and makes no noise, just keeps a constant vigil.

Perfect. I keep watch for a few hours, occasionally recasting the spell once the previous creature vanishes. When at some point I get the idea that my watch is over, I wake up Leara to take it from me, and go to sleep. I don't think we should make Agnelia keep watch.
I also try to identify the creature I summoned by means of an Arcana check. I rolled a 19, which turns into a 28 with my bonuses. Nice.
P.S.: I think the list of skill ranks on my character profile is borked. For instance, I never put a skill point into Appraise. Based on my previous posts, I should have 1 point each in Deception, Fly, History, Insight, Intimidation, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, Persuasion, Stealth and Survival, and 2 points each in Arcana and Perception.

Did you guys get extra skill points from an event in the game, or did I misinterpret the OP? I only started with four skill points.
