LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

"This is where I was brought for communion with the dark god," I say happily. "We received spiritual guidance from Viria when I prayed here."
I wrack my brain to try to explain the significance of the pillow and incense.
Pillow: Religion check rolled 13 +3 = 16
Incense: Medicine check rolled 9 +8 = 17
Can I read the lettering?

A mysterious mirror that is covered up by cloth with weird symbols on it? This just keeps getting better and better! If it hadn't been for all that mass suicide and casting dangerous rituals on children, maybe this place wouldn't be so bad after all.
"Quite the pleasant smell in here. Agnelia, do you happen to know anything about this room as well?"
Before she can answer that question, already begin to try to get a sense of what the red lettering might mean, and look for anything else about the mirror that seems important. After that, I start unwrapping the mirror, but I do not yet remove the cloth completely. Looking directly into the mirror seems like something I shouldn't do without a little preparation first, so let's hold off on that for just a little while.
I rolled a 10, which becomes a 19 for Arcana (or an 18 for History).
Edit: Welp, double-sniped.

"Please don't unwrap the mirror!" I protest, waving my arms frantically. "It's sacred!"
I stop unwrapping the mirror and turn back around to look at Agnelia.
"'Sacred'? I'm sorry, dear Agnelia, but I'm afraid I don't quite follow you. What does that mean, exactly?"

"Aldus, it would be better if you didn't. I don't know what these priests taught Agnelia, but she doesn't act like a follower of the goddess I'll not name. Things have been rather quiet. I'd rather not stir things up. Still, I'd hate for someone to find that mirror and wake up whoever might be inside."
Leara feels like she's seen these mirrors in a few Drow temples.
She also knows the incense is designed to numb all the muscles of the body.
The pillow looks pretty.
Agnelia reads the letters as the lullaby her caretaker sang to her every night before bed. It was a lovely tune that praised routine and dedication to getting the job done. However the lullaby's lyrics are broken up with words like "Stay" and "Meld".
The pillow is the throne of the Disciple. Agnelia usually sat here and inhaled the incense that numbed everything but her mind. Then, she would look into the mirror and listen to the voices instruct her on various topics.
Aldus looks at the lettering and is confounded that it's in a language he has never known. He does know, however, that the mirror is a Cosmic Connector, a way to commune with cosmic being who would listen. This one is in-tune with Viria.

"Smash it," I say to Aldus. "It looks too much like the mirror my mother used to use and this temple's goddess is one you'd rather not meet."
Also, I can think of a myriad of uses for muscle numbing incense. Gather it.

"EXCUSE ME, PLEASE DON'T SMASH MY MIRROR," I shout desperately, visibly panicking. I begin hugging the mirror tightly to protect it while glaring angrily at Leara.
"And that's extremely rude, Viria has given me guidance all my life! Don't talk about a god in such a way! They create the paths we follow, and it's not our place to question them." I make a pouty face, clearly offended.
"You can take some incense from storage, but please leave what's already laid out. I'd like to pray here for spiritual guidance before we leave."

Leave the incense that's laid out.
"Who's being rude? If I wanted to be rude, I'd be invoking names...though none she'd answer to. And blind obedience to anything is never wise. Even a god. Besides, leaving this mirror intact is foolish. The goddess in question has a philosophy most people living on the surface won't agree with and leaving a receptacle like this is trouble. If you don't want to smash it, fine, but I suggest we at least secure it where someone isn't likely to find it." A bright idea crosses my mind. "Hey! Maybe we can take it with us and hide it in the mines!" I reconsider and shake my head. "On second thought, no. Transporting it probably isn't a good idea. Is the incense storage in this room?"
Look for storage for incense.
(Out of character, how bad is Viria, anyway? Is she comparable to Lolth, or she one of the more reasonable less evil goddesses like Shar?)

"Hm, curious. You would seek guidance from Viria, even though all of your former friends at this place have killed themselves in her name. Very curious indeed.
Obviously, if the thought pains you so much, I will leave this mirror intact, Agnelia. Still, it seems like a powerful artifact to me, so I don't quite understand why looking at it would be wrong. Will it somehow become less 'sacred' if I unwrap it? Then what happens when, in a hundred years' time, the cloth has rotted away and the mirror becomes visible to anyone who enters? Is it not sacred any more then? What if Viria decides to change her mind about the relevance of this mirror some day? Truly, even Viria herself could be gone tomorrow. Where do the 'paths' she apparently creates go then?"

I stick out my tongue at Aldus.
You can read Viria's Lore on the OP under the list of Gods you could have followed (and lacking in a certain area, like a god of war, I would make one up)
Here is a highlight that should answer your question for sake of convenience, though context with the other gods might be useful:
"She was given task after task to weaken and demoralize his siblings' realms' inhabitants"
"Viria was enraged that Deisk hadn't given her enough power and tried to form a bond with Revile to overthrow and steal the power of Deisk."
"She went to the Lower Realm in disguise and found that the Drow she had corrupted worshiped her. She found little solace in this and continued to wander the realm, and decided to do what she was created for: assassinate. The bigger the betrayal the better, especially against the original souls."

"Ah ha ha! Hahaha!" I start laughing for maybe a little too long, then say to Agnelia while still chuckling: "Very well, you've convinced me. Let us finish our remaining business here and then continue on our way."
I can always come back later at some point to take a closer look at this mirror, I think to myself.

- Goddess of Emo and Betrayal
- Kills people to placate the dark teen angst of her wretched vile heart
- Especially likes to kill people who trust her
- A temple full of her followers has just killed themselves, this seems like it's probably not a coincidence
- My character has been brainwashed pretty bad and is Lawful Obedient aligned
- This cannot possibly end badly for me

"Aldus, is there, perhaps, someway we can bury this mirror or otherwise hide it so nobody is likely to see it? Without breaking it, of course. Now that I think about it, breaking it may result in some...negativity."

I stamp my foot and start throwing a tantrum. "Ask me before deciding to bury my stuff in the ground! Augh! I'm right here, quit acting like I'm not here!"
I start hitting Leara and Aldus repeatedly with the pillow. "Get out! You're uninvited! Stay outside and let me pray!"

"The mirror doesn't belong to you. It belongs to your goddess. When I was slightly older than you, I became a priestess of Viria." I wince at the invocation of her name. "Do you frequently strike us? Or is this your first time?"
After a moment, I say, "It's quite alright. I renounced her long ago. Strike me all you like."

I start laughing even louder than before and run out of the room while pretending to try to shield myself from Agnelia's "attacks."
Ah, the marvels of lifeforms. Isn't it true: If you never expect anything, nothing will ever catch you by surprise? Yet sometimes, I can't help but be amused by the wonderful way the world reinvents itself around me all the time.
I wait for Leara to come out of the room. Once the door has been closed, I immediately start peeking through the keyhole or any other opening I can find.

I light the incense, unwrap the mirror, sit cross-legged on the pillow, breathe deeply, gaze deeply, and begin praying for guidance.
