"I guarantee you won't think it's such an odd weapon choice if you're ever on the receiving end of that whip. My mother favored the whip."
"Okaaaay, remind me to never make little elfy angry... Which reminds me, what is your name Little Elfy?"
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

"Oh, um, it's a garrote-whip. It's not for horses. It's for strangling people."
I'm almost sure I introduced myself to Chloe once already, and that my name has been mentioned several times since then, so I pretend not to hear her request.

"S-s-st-str-Strangling people?! But, you'rer just a little girl, isn't that really scary to see!? Agnelia, you are a bit odd for an elven girl... "
*moving a little bit away from Agnelia*
"So when we go in there, is there anything we should look out for? Bats, shiny things, rocks, chests, coins? I'm good at looking for shiny things, I see them really well!"
(Oh wait, you did, sorry I missed that, everyone else introduced themselves again, I didn't realise we had been told your name)

This is Agnelia's approximate appearance, for those just joining in. I had it as my avatar for a week or two, but stopped because it was stressing people out for me to not be Dr. House.
"I've never been bothered by bats in caves or mines. Kobolds, on the other hand...but that's hit or miss. Just because a cave's abandoned doesn't mean there are kobolds. Still, you can bet there's usually something interesting taking residence in a mine."
"Kobalds? Are those the little miny orc miner guys? They might know where the treasure is! Let's go say hi to the Kobalds guys, come on!"
*she smiles as she begins to hum to herself and walk towards the cave*

I felt a bit a guilt about what I just said to Leara, I have a hunch that she knew my compliment was half-hearted. Way to go, Enna, you just showed your first comrades that you're an unlikable wench. I stare towards the ground in embarrassment.
... But that's not important right now.
I follow the party towards the entrance to the mines, avoiding eye-contact with anyone. That elf girl at least humors me.
"So that's Agnelia? Heh, aren't you the little toughy?" I mumble in a condescending manner.

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...
How can someone travel the world and not develop a healthy wariness of kobolds? "They're not friendly."

"Aren't they!? I've only heard of the fact they live in caves."
"Also, does anyone have any ropes, just in case?"

"I must say, Leara, it is somewhat unsettling to detect a fear of the unknown in you. We haven't met every single Kobold in existence - and non-existence - yet. And should we find them disagreeable, I'm sure we can cause them to change. Everything does. So don't be afraid."
I then turn towards Chloe, since something she said earlier make me curious. "Say, you mentioned you know something about Energy Crystals. Can you tell me what you've heard about them?"
By the way, LockeZ's post just reminded me: Ratty and Kloe, can you describe the outward appearance of your characters. We didn't really get that information yet, and I'm curious.
Edit: "Rope? I'm sorry, I don't have that. What would we need rope for, anyway?"

Oh, I'm fairly tall for my age, my hair is a light blue shade, I am wearing quite common clothes, nothing very nice, I look about 20 and I have a fairly big wooden lightweight staff with a smiley face carved into the top.
"Yes, I was always told that the shiny crystals in caves, which I was told are actually called Energy Crystals, and 'Never ever ever touch them Chloe, you hear me, never ever ever' my older sister always said! I just think they are really shiny and awesome!"
"And duh Aldy, to climb, it's a cave! You go DOWN into caves so you need ropes to not fall and so you can get back up again!!" *smiles*

"Kobold's aren't evil creatures, but they are territorial and invasive. Whenever they inhabit a new area where there are people, they become quite murderous, and oh, how they multiply. It doesn't help that I don't speak their language. And there's nothing wrong with fear. It only becomes a problem when you can't bury it. I would imagine that Chloe wants rope because going into a mine, there may be places to climb."
(I need to go back looking for my description.)

((Here is an excerpt from the background info I sent to seiro. I also plan on drawing her soon:))
((Additional info: She has long, thin blue hair and her eyes are gold-colored, like most elves in D&D. She would look around 20-23 by human years))
I attempt to overhear the conversation, but not respond. This talk of kobolds make me increasingly wary of my surroundings.
What type of environment/terrain is this cave, by the way?
author=Enna's Background
A young Elven woman stricken with wanderlust... Her pale white, freckled skin conveys youthful vitality, yet her large, dreary eyes tell the story of a woman with many burdens.

To answer your Lolth question, Spiders are not sacred to Drow.
Viria has no material thing or races associated with her, only that she favors assassination and betrayal.
(Oh, I'm reminded of LockeZ's description of her and how much I laughed)
A cave would be considered Subterranean- that would cover all manner of chasms, caves, and underwater lakes.

My eyes shine bright with anticipation when Chloe speaks about the Energy Crystals. When she mentions she was told to never ever touch them, a big, excited smile appears on my face. "That sounds great! I can't wait!"
"Oh, the rope would be for climbing? That sounds rather boring and tiresome. Why don't we just fly back up instead?"
I'll just quote my character's description here in case anyone's curious or didn't read it already:

I'll just quote my character's description here in case anyone's curious or didn't read it already:
Aldus looks like a rather young human man, probably not much older than 20 years, although his short, dark black hair already shows some streaks of grey. His skin is an extremely pale white, and he wears blue-greyish mage robes that oddly enough have no visible symbols on them. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be anything special about him, except for his annoying habit of blinking very often and at rapid but irregular intervals.
earlier in the thread
Leara's skin is a very dark blue. Her cheeks are dark to the point of almost being black. One eye is green and the other is brown, and her hair is silver. It's long and messy and she keeps it tied into a pony tail. It's her ears that give her away as being an elf. Though during the fight with the wolves or with the brigands, there is a strong chance Aldus might have thought her eyes were red, if he was paying attention. She's tall, much taller than the typical elf. Indeed, she stands nose to nose with many humans, standing at 5' 9". Also, it's not obvious at the moment being dressed for winter, but her muscles are very well toned. Now, it's quite a thing, this. It's rather obvious this description, except for the mismatched eyes, could apply to a quarter of all Drow women. So, it might behoove me to describe her slouching posture, which she adopted to seem less threatening to surface folk, and which always seems to vanish at the promise of combat. Then there are her her long, well defined fingers, well suited to playing a musical instrument. Also, the very tip is missing off of one those ears; not much, and not noticeable, but you'll see it if you look. A lute shares space with a sack dangling from her shoulders.
(Ah, okay, so I guess there are no driders in the Drow cities then.)
