author=Satedauthor=slashNot how mountains work.
I recently started going to the gym again. Just for a half-hour in the morning a few days a week, just to start doing something. I definitely am much more energetic for the rest of the day if I work out in the mornings.
Anyway,
THE TALLEST MOUNTAIN STARTED AS A STONE
Sure they do. You just water a stone and eventually it gets bigger.
I have been very lax on this this week - I was recovering from my shingles, but today I shall get back on that wagon.
I completely forgot about this!
It's summer Xoe... jesus fuck go outside.
Go swimming, lift some weights, take ballet lessons.

If movies have thought me anything, ballet is for people who hate their feet and want to have their instructors make them feel bad.
If movies have taught ME anything, it's that I should become super fit after a brief training montage.
What really? I like my feet, and I don't want to feel bad about myself!
I just thought it may help with body coordination and well the physical exertion required...

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

I took basic ballet as a kid for about 5 years. If you're not en pointe* or professional, it's fairly good exercise with minimal problems. The turnout required for your feet might cause you some issues, but if you wanna learn to make your body do pretty things rhythmically (and are into getting super leg workout), ballet is a good option.
*There's regular ballet, which is just soft shoes, and then there's en pointe, which uses the toe shoes and is terrible for your feet. I quit taking ballet and moved to a different dance class because I didn't want to go en pointe and that was the only direction available.

@Kentona: Watch your diet. I'd say that's 75% of the battle. Do you eat a lot of sugar in your daily diet?
(maybe stop eating animals too if that's what you're doing :D).

I mean, for me, laziness wins out over deliciousness. If you gave me a 100% nutrition bar, I'd eat it instead. If you gave me a list of non-animal foods that would give me 100% of what I need every day, That I could buy in bulk at a price on par or less than I pay for the food I pay for right now, I totally would.
Ahhh fuck ballet that idea was dumb!
Kick boxing instead? Or some form of combat.
Learning how to beat the shit out of people has it's uses!
The choice seems to be between Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga?
People argue that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is where it's at.
I suppose learning how to toss someone onto the ground and restrain there movement completely might be a good thing to learn before learning how to throat punch someone or how to kick an attacker in the balls for maximum effectiveness.

Krav Maga is pretty brutal. I'm just saying - if you're wanting to enter a martial art for the exercise benefits, there are probably better options - also, remember, what's available in your area is probably very limited.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo are great for grappling, Muay Thai and Boxing and Taekwondo for striking, Tai Chi and Karate for body movement and control.
Krav Maga is for incapacitating people as quick as possible using the most brutal of methods.

I was thinking of killing 2 birds with one stone!
I'll get the exercise benefits and the ability to fucking WRECK someone :D
I live in Texas of Canada. My options are limitless.
That being said I think BJJ would be a better choice right off the get go.
Learning to restrain someone, rather then fucking kill them might be a good starting point.
