Distract them from what? There's literally nothing going on and, believe it or not, my clue does NOT have a hypnosis-spell cast on it that forces the reader to drop everything and solve the clue. That being said, I am a master hypnotist and am using my hypnosis right now, and if you do not solve the clue, something bad will happen to you.

I'm short on time this weekend so I mostly skimmed posts so far, but this is going to be fairly hard to win give that we're going to have 2 mafia to start plus 3 mafia infected, not to mention a serial killer and vigilante. Assuming the vigilante is basically killing people at random (which FYI is the best way for normals to lynch mafia anyway), then that's 6 hostile players and total 7 dangerous people.
Also any "not-mafia" results from the scientist are going to be complete trash because as soon as someone's proven to be innocent, the best move from the mafia would be to immediately infect them. There's absolutely no way to prove innocence because every night, it's possible to flip sides. (well, you could /theoretically/ prove you're innocent for a day). Plus any innocent results from the scientist could just be serial killer anyway. Gonna be mighty difficult.
Anyway, that means we can happily kill off people that would make good mafia! If the survivors kill off all the convincing liars, then the seed mafia will make less than optimal choices. Like I've never played with cavedog if everyone's convinced cave would be terrifying god-mafia then kill him, because the seed mafia would turn him anyway. (maybe don't do this day one because something tells me he'll be killed by something or other pretty quick)
I should be back around before voting so nothing from me yet.
