It's not worth addressing. We're better off talking about an actual issue instead of continuously continuing these feuds.

I wonder if Trump's use of Twitter will ever slow down, or if it will just increase when he becomes president. I'm worried that his tendency to focus on self-serving tweets will become dangerous when he becomes an elected representative of our country. Because controversial topics in and of themselves aren't bad, nor is having spirited discussion about them. I know for fact I've learned a lot just from popping in and out of this topic, and I'm sure others have as well. For the most part it's been pretty fine.

Now, if it were causing people to froth and hate on other areas of the site (like a certain thread-that-shall-not-be-named) or if the creator of the thread wanted it locked, then yeah, we'd do so. Currently it's just a few people being idiots at each other and baiting, so for now warnings have been sent. If they don't heed them, well, they won't be around to cause said trouble which should help tempers cool off and allow for more interesting discussion and debate to occur. No need to lock a thread at the first sign of trouble (yes, I know it's ironic that it's me saying this. shhhhh)




Man, it's like watching a car crash in slow motion, though. We don't get much in the way of detailed politics when it comes to America - basically the only real news I've seen was the Air Force One bullshit - so this is quite interesting to me to see what's going on without having to dive into news sites.

I love geopolitics. Following world events with an objective viewpoint (and a slight opinion bias towards progressive solutions) is one of my hobbies. Political topics that don't get locked by Page 2 on RMN are as rare as Loch Ness monsters. The few times there is one, whenever someone says it's time to lock it, I'm usually first in front saying "Please No".

But I've fucking had it with this thread, as should anybody else with good sense. It lost it's focus maybe a week after Trump won and, ever since, it's just been harm trolling people. He's not stupid, so it can't be chalked up to being a republican dingbat misinterpreting everything anybody says. He's actually trolling; Coming here to get people riled up.
