OLD/LOST RPGMAKER GAMES - SEGNIN'S RARE/OBSCURE RM GAMES REQUEST TOPIC

Posts

Trying to go back and retrieve old files from my old hard disks and seek (aside the games I'm looking for) if some of the titles you guys mentioned pop up

I believe this is one of the games you searched for krum110487 (will add a link see if is the same version you wanted):

Also I found one of the games I was looking for: "Relic" by Twidge (I got only the VA version of the Ch.1) so here it is for anyone who still want to have a go with it.

Any chance that someone has a game (or at least any recollection of a game) that is either called, or stars a characters named "Lukenhood"?
Pretty sure it was a Robin Hood parody or something of that sort.
I can't find any mention of it online, and my brother and I are starting to think we just had some kind of co-hallucination.
We sometimes imitate the character's laugh, one of the few voice lines (if you can call it that) I'd heard in an RPG Maker title at the time.
I assume it was RM2K/3, but it's entirely possible it was RM95.

I totally forgot about Relic. So much for my review, and saying that it was a game to keep an an eye on! As it happens, it looks like there's a number of versions available through the "contents" methodology? There's only the file-names with this listing, so I'm kinda guessing here.

*Edit: The aforementioned Halmoore - A Hero's Story also has a few downloads it's contents. I don't know how these compare to what the official download is supposed to point to, though.

WOW so there is still the files of the games here on RMN! (O o O)\ I never knew this method was aviable, thanks Marrend ;-) (I even see there is still few games files who got their download link broken or were totally lost like the legend of zelda 2k3 demo (who the creator link_2112 himself mentioned had lost the file altogether on his pc years ago) and here on "content" is aviable, I guess by seeing the date of the data upload this are the actual stuff who was put back then on the game page (going back There is even the EVENTS section with some of RMN birthday stuff, divided just like the method I have of the files on my computer XD, Suggestion never save the games like Game (1), Game (2) etc, or game project (1) it will be a pain in the neck recover them afterward. That's why I'm still trying to figure out what I have on the hardisks)

Unfortunately seems Blue Marble isn't among the ones "buried but still alive" on the site, there is the folder but only a placeholder text in it (-_-) I guess unless the creator took down the file himself (when decided to close his page) or like in the case of Third Realm only used external sites hosts like mediafire (who took it down for inactivity) or like for Arcanade or Black Sheep games only redirected to their own site (and closed their dropbox to the players). Then most of the games directly uploaded on the RMN site are still aviable if you know the folder ID number.

#Zephadus do you remember the site where you got this "Lukenhood"? is possible is one of the old rpg maker sites (http://www.queenscourt.org/ for example) if you do maybe you could find it on wayback machine if someone saved the page.

yeah I do the contents method when I remember to do it! :-D I thought I was the only one who knew that. Thanks for the reminder. Blue Marble is one that the content was purged even though it was hosted on RMN, I did check that one. Thanks for the upload Craig!

CraigtheGnome, If you want to send me everything you have, I can compare it to what I have already and Sort it out. I already have like 1700 more games to organize, what are a few more?

edit: Whoops, didn't mean to double post, sorry

Do you remember the intro having a lightning strike? Luke's Quest has an intro like that.
Sorry for the late reply krum, it was a heavy week (- -)
that "send me everything you have.." made me a little laugh man XD I got a mess here and sincerely I just recently put on the box online as I got time to scroll down on the files and I can figure out the name of the games (but I don't have as many titles as you think, I'm relatively just a new guy here, but if you want to compare notes and see what we each got I'm up for it ;-).

In any case I freaking found this:

- THIRD REALM -

and here is the Link (Tell me if you have issue in download this, make copies I don't want one day to read: "Oh that guy CraigtheGnome had it, let's hope he share it again", no YOU guys have it too now, so don't disappear when someone else ask for it):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jsrl8xis69xlu84/Third%20Realm%20v3.3.1%20%28RMVX%29%20%28Ishorak%29.exe?dl=0

Is the last version I think (the 3.3.1) I only got this file of the game and is the lite version (you need the VX RTP files, not Ace) if you need it you can find the RTP here: https://archive.org/details/RPG_Maker_RTP_Collection

And for me is 2/3 games I was searching for (- v -) All I'm left to find is Blue Marble but I'm still all in for help and share files when I can guys. Because you may be perfectly organized (not like me who just download and drop on a folder then forget about it XD) and got a rare library of old RMN games you can play when you want but one day "oops my Hard disk broke up, well I may as well go and download it online again on the old link..." (Message: Oops something seems to be missing..) "Fudge!" (you lost it and there is NO MORE any way to get it, and your only hope remain the kindness of strangers, so if we can keep up the good work and try to make the old masterlink library stay alive is better for everyone ;-)
Thanks for the third realm, I have it now! :-) I am working on cleaning up what I have so I can publish a full list of what I have. And what I am missing of course.

also, I stumbled across this demo I would love to have, but I can't find anything on it except this website.
https://web.archive.org/web/20080615035752/http://www.secretproject.larself.com/

anyone ever play/have this demo?

The wayback machine is pretty dope! I found a review on rpg2knet!
Download button doesn't work, but at least I know it bloody-well exists!
Any idea how I might track down a working download?
The review page links to a dead angelfire site, and none of its backups on wayback machine contain anything.

Brilliant!
I'm not sure how you did that, but I'm curious as to how this is getting past Angelfire's "no hotlinking" thing for the download.
There would have been midis available on his page here, but I can't download any of them.
Any chance of finding a way to get these as well?

The logic in my head dictates that if archive.org had any captures of the MIDIs, it would be with the other files. Or maybe, given the file structure of the MIDIs, inside the "midireserve" subdirectory?

It's possible the MIDIs could be incorporated into the EXE, though, that indicates the use of a program that packaged all the assets together into one EXE.
These particular midis are not found within the game's files, as they were not used for the game, but were general resources provided on his site.
If there's any way to scrounge up these files, I'd love to figure it out, as there are likely several other sites originally hosted on Angelfire and similar services that provided various resources.
These would be of great interest to me in regards to preservation.
Other than that, I suppose I should seek out a resource outlining the usage and particular mechanics of archive.org.
Unfortunately, the second link I sent is everything for that domain/path, it is achieved by putting an asterisk after the path and replace the date with an asterisk.

It you compare the two links I sent you, you can see where I added the asterisks, if you put it after the geocities.com/* it would give you 10,000 files of all the geocities files they have, a bit useless in that case.
I was wondering if anyone had a link to the ORIGINAL RM2k3 version of Ara Fell. I want to play it on my modded 3DS with EasyRPG player but that only works with RM2k/3 games, not the version the new one is made in. I can't seem to find it anywhere, even the cracks are the MV version so I'd appreciate it if someone could shoot me a link.

I assume you're not talking about the one from 2005 but actually the full commercial one correct? It's not made in MV, it's Unity actually, but uh funny thing is it comes with the RM2K3 version (At least with my Steam copy). Try looking for another exe in the folder, though you really should be supporting RM devs tsk tsk.

So Ara Fell was sold when it was RM2K3, I found them just searching naturally, but I wasn't sure if it is the full version or a free version or what. I was found as IF it were free (Posted on one of the many RPGMaker sites via archive.org).

I found these, but I was going to ask the dev about these before I posted them as they currently a paid game.

Ara Fell - The Legend of Dirisetsu Hallow (BadLuck) (RM2K3) (2007)
Ara Fell 2K3 (BadLuck) (RM2K3) (2008)
the legend of Dirisetsu Hollow

I know of this one, I found it with a simple search in that german site and probably it's an archived old version of the game, dunno if maybe it's just a part of it.
That site has also an old proto version of Rise of the Third Power.
The "free" ones are really old demos long before the commercial RM2K3 one, and aren't quite representative of the same game. But yeah Badluck was on record saying he didn't want even the old demos spread around too much. Gonna guess the user wants the official complete one though (which costs $$$).

I expected that. VBought it on Gog. Still have to play it since I'm finishing Rise of the Third Power, but I guess it's very good.
