[ORANGE] - GAYMAK THE RAINBOW

This topic is for the entries for the ORANGE inspired characters for the GAYmak the Rainbow event, where you make a character a day based on the colours of the rainbow, in celebration for Pride month.
Here's the general game plan:
- Character creation must include a small blurb about the character (who they are, description, etc) and a small graphical image of them (this can be a sketch, a sprite, a portrait, edited pre-existing graphics (RTP/rips), an MS Paint image, etc).
- Characters must be based on the colour of that day in some way, shape or form.
- Characters must be your own creation, however they may be part of an already existing 'universe', either fandom or your own.
- Let people know in your character post if you're okay with the character being used by others in the weekend game making event.
- Since this is a Pride event, try to make a character that isn't just a Straight female/male. Mix it up. Try to expand your horizons and push yourself, but remember to be conscientious about your character depictions.
- You will have until the game make weekend starts (30th of June) before the threads get locked, so if your characters aren't in their respective threads by then, you'll miss the badge for that colour day!
By posting a orange inspired character in this thread you will receive the ORANGE badge.

Background:
One day a portal appeared in the hills of a neighboring country and from it shot out a small furry creature. When it rose, it shone like the sun filling the expanse around it with light. Whenever it gazed upon its own light, it smiled as though it were home again. It made its way across the countryside shining its light and it soon found its way to the Blind Macaw. Proud, it shone its light on the macaw but received no joy in return for the macaw was blind.
The panda grew curious and then sad when it realized the only other creature that it had met couldn't enjoy the brilliance of its own glow, so instead it opened its mouth and spoke horrible things as all it had known was pride in itself. When the macaw looked upon its soul's color with its aura, it was faint like the most cruel and selfish of all creatures and the macaw flew from it. Alone, the panda cried as it didn't understand that it was solely responsible for its own loneliness.
It chased after the macaw as it flew but never caught it. When it had worn itself out, it was reduced to a tired sorrow and wept to the bird. Hearing its anguish, the macaw turned back and flew down to the creature. While the creature's aura was still faint and listless, its tears were bright with color. The macaw knew it could be changed and spoke to it in the ways of compassion.
In exchange for the macaw's presence, the panda agreed to let its light shine not for itself but for the world. Soon the panda grew to be much greater than it was when it first arrived in the world and the color of its aura became the orange of its fur, never too bright but special in its own way.

Only the rays of the morning sun can be synthesized, daylight sunrays are too strong and won't work.
The sunlight crystals function as a temporary source of light and heat.

Description: Tall ginger-haired man, scruffy and unkempt, he appears very wild and rough giving the impression of someone who is very outdoorsy. He has throwing axes on each hip, and big broad shoulders/arms with fists that seem to have met many a face before. Pansexual.
Background: The son of a preacher, he grew up in a home that was judgemental towards others. He, himself, was the fist to point out the contradictory nature of this behaviour, especially as the Bible was often quoted and yet it seemed to him that people just used it as a way to hurt others whilst ignoring the true message within.
When he was fourteen he had his first encounter with someone who was, in his fathers' words, an abomination. Being an open-minded sort, Doggerel saw that they had a lot in common and ended up befriending that person - Josephine, the daughter of the local butcher. Many people thought that they were dating at the time and he was fine with acting as her 'beard' so to speak, but the two of them were just friends who shared a love of poetry and reading.
One night Josephine was caught with another girl and was beaten by her parents and became the talk of the town. Doggerel stood by her, despite being teased himself for 'not giving it good enough to her to keep her in his bed' and being called various names. At worst people thought him a sympathiser, at best a cuckolded man. After Josephine tried to commit suicide, Doggerel had had enough. He took his fathers' car, his own savings and Josephine and left for the city, hoping that there they could find a place to belong.
And they did, for a while. Josephine soon found a place that she could call her own, and with Doggerel's support, began courses in writing and teaching. Doggerel found work in a factory making car parts and everything settled for a few years. During that time Josephine fell in and out of love a few times, before surprising herself and falling in love with a man, eventually realising that she was bi with a preference for women, not gay as she initially though.
Around this time Doggerel found love himself in the form of a woman who moved into the neighbouring apartment. They went out for a few dates before the woman came out to him as trans. Doggerel thought about this for a while, but decided it didn't bother him and eventually ended up dating her for a few years before she moved to Japan to follow her dreams. During that time Josephine got married and Doggerel was left to think about what he wanted to do with his life.
That was when an urgent message from home reached him - his father was dying and wanted to make peace with his only son. Taking leave of his job, Doggerel began the journey back home, taking a bus, only to be caught up in a thunderstorm along the way. The bus swerved off the road and crashed, knocking him out.
When Doggerel awoke, he and the other people on the bus were no longer on Earth...
