The last five member of the Aremen household stand stunned at the carnage before them. Demon is the first to speak. "What's the meaning of this?"
"D-dad?" mumbles Jeroen. "You can't... The witch..."
"You see," said Muffle. "The witch isn't actually dead. And in this case, it really is quite the interesting murder. If the only key to Piano's room is locked in LockeZ's room, and the key to LockeZ's room is -"
"None of that matters!" yells Demonlord. "I can think of a much easier explanation. Who saw all this first? Who's hated this family for years? It's you, Muffle, I know it! Who agrees with me?"
Jeroen takes a step forwrd. "I'll avenge you dad!"
"I don't want to believe it," says Yellow. "I knew you never trusted us."
"...Sorry," says Cap.
"You'll pay!" screams Muffle. "I knew you were out to get me! I never should've showed up to work this week! I knew it would turn out like this! You're all a bunch of psychopaths! You all - "
But with a BANG and thump, her protests end. But only her body are only a doctors' tools. Far off, it almost sounds like... laughter?

The Tea Party

Piano, LockeZ, and Muffle join the audience. In fact, there are now more Aremens at the tea party than alive on the gameboard. Esby trembles on one side of the table as the witch Ozzy sneers on the other. Somewhere, a seagull cries.
"What do you think of my locked room, Esby? Are you ready to accept the existence of witches now?"
"Never!" shouts Esby. "There must be a way..."
"Come, recognize me as the true head of the Aremen family and I'll usher you all and all the dead Aremens into the golden land. And you won't have to live with the knowledge that Demon, Cap, Jeroen, or Yellow were capable of this carnage."
"I know what they're capable of, the brutes." Esby glares at Jeroen and Yellow on the board. "But I won't give in to the likes of you."
"Not even now?" Ozzy readies his next move. "I believe this is checkmate."
Esby frowns. "Useless... Useless... No! I've got it! This is checkmate, maybe, but checkmate for you, witch!"

Dawn of Day 5 story:
Demon glares at Cap. Cap backs away from Jeroen. Jeroen looks at his cousin Yellow in fear. And Yellow trembles before his own father, Demon.
"Then... Who?"
"Hey!" says Jeroen. "Was that always there?"
On the floor behind Muffle's body is an envelope, sealed in wax with the Aremen crest. Cap picks it up and reads aloud the single line printed there:
PRAISE MY NAME
-- The Golden Witch
Demon bellows "What's the meaning of this?" and points his gun first at Cap, then at Jero. "There's no way that letter was here before!"
"And Muffle didn't drop it," adds Yellow.
"Then... No!" Cap gasps.
"There's no way around it," says Jeroen. "Only one of the four of us could've placed that letter. The only question is... which one?"
"Then... Who?"
"Hey!" says Jeroen. "Was that always there?"

Normally I'd be questioning the no death here, and then asking cap who he defended last night...but really...whats the point? He probably opted not to kill last night in the hopes of guessing right when I asked...but there is a small problem...
Demon - confirmed defender.
jeroen - confirmed gunman.
yellow - confirmed gunman
cap - unconfirmed defender, a claim easily faked.
Me defending cave earlier in the game - confirmed.
Jeroen shooting esby - confirmed.
Yellow taking a potshot at muffle - confirmed.
Go ahead and make your case cap, but I'm getting this lynch out of the way because I see no feasible way that you are what you say you are.

demon, we're still at MYLO, let's wait a bit before throwing votes around. At least we can be sure there's exactly 1 scum left now, which helps our analysis a bit.
It's a good thing you didn't tell us yet who you defended, because that is indeed what I wanted to ask Cap before having you tell us whether it was correct.
Keep in mind scum could also not have killed to force exactly this situation. This is still MYLO, after all. If final scum is YM, withholding kill could make it easier to frame Cap and win.

Actually, that'd be very risky. If YM had withheld kill, and you and Cap would still have defended the same person, the jig would have been up.
Withholding kill seems to indeed benefit Cap more. But I'll wait until YM and Cap are here before making any decisions. It is still possible Cap legitimately defended someone, after all.

Yeah I know. I wouldn't have been super aggressive like that if I wasn't 99% sure, and since we have three townies I didn't see any harm in throwing out the first vote.
The thing that bothers me most about cap is the rest of us have confirmed use of our powers, and unless scum has more than one power it can't be anyone but cap.
I guess the other possibility is that scum has both a nightkill+shot, or a nightkill+defend which would be kind of weird.

Demonlord, Jeroen, can you remind me what makes you confirmed Defender and gunmen? I feel like quite frankly we're being playing like a fiddle, so it's hard to believe anything now.

Oh, I assumed that, actually. In the games I've hosted, the faction has always had a kill, and individuals have powers on top of that.
But now that I think about it, you're right that the faction kill should still be executed by someone in this game. Otherwise the paranoiac role would make no sense. It'd only be able to hit gunmen otherwise. We also had a tracker, again making it more likely that the kill must be executed by someone.

I claimed defender before there was much knowledge about roles in the game, and I even came under pretty heavy fire because of the fact it doesn't generate messages, but I gave clear details on how it works, and cave had the exact same role and didn't come after me. I also defended him night 1 when there was no nightkill.
Jeroen claimed after I did in other to help prove my innocence. His role isn't the exact same as mine, but it was a dual role that scum has should have no knowledge of. He also admitted to being one of the two to take a shot on day 1, whereas one of the other gunners died, making 3 gunners in the game, where 2 shots were fired.

demonlord claimed protector, a role that is specific to this game, and also that he had protected Cave N1, before Cave flipped the same role and our modkilled tracker showed that Cave had also visited himself, explaining how nobody died N1. I just can't see that happening if he was lying. Even if he was scum and withheld kill, how would he know a protector existed, that Cave was one, and that Cave protected himself?
I am less confirmed. Though my role of gunman is confirmed (I attacked demon N1, and he confirmed being attacked. Also we wouldn't have been able to kill Esby together if I wasn't actually a gunman), my alignment isn't. I did however, stand up for demon and say his roleclaim of protector was plausible because gunmen also need to have multiple people target the same person to work.

I don't know about you but I protected Jero last night. And given that there's no kill you either did the same or wolves tried to do exactly this.
Also thinking about it, my hammer yesterday was little premature. Several changes happened, when I was writing that post. Muffle voted YM, Jero returned and Demonlord reapeared.
What we know now is that one gunner is very likely anti-town. Given their earlier suspicions, I would be ideal target for both Jero and YM. Why am I still alive?

Alright, I did indeed defend jero last night, so that is actually plausible.
So now it looks like either cap is telling the truth, or got a lucky guess in.
The other possibility is that yellow is a scum gunner.

I didn't attack anyone last night. We're at 3-1 today, but if the scum kill had been successful we would've been at 2-1. If there had been a misfire on top of that we would have lost, so I didn't want to risk that. thanks
