[MAFIA] RMN: WHEN THEY CRY (TEA PARTY)

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Adding to my previous statment, I though Demonlord was scum, until all the rolestuff came up, at that point I couldn't risk voting him.
You cancelled before demon claimed. I call bullshit.
author=LockeZauthor=MuffleSome people have power roles. Those power roles are secret, work in secret ways, and sometimes new ones are invented just for a specific game. So it's impossible to tell how they work.
I just don't understand the mechanics how this works. Is there someone who could explain... in a way that might be easier for me so I can comment on it. It's just one gigantic mess.
Common power roles include Investigator, Vigilante, and Doctor, which can be used during the night phase to investigate, kill, or protect someone. Some people are claiming they have versions of these power roles that require two or more people with the same role to use their power on the same person on the same night.
Thanks that helped a bunch. But wouldn't the chances be really, really low? :\ I am aware of what powers do, but if they need more than one person to use it on the same exact person for it to work, what's the point. Especially since we don't really know who's who. It'd be kind of weird that it also could have happened on the first night, right?

Okay, this brings us to TungermanU. Cave's right, what little Tman has said has been well thought out and useful, but the keyword is "little". He seems like a strong player, so why is he laying low? I actually keep forgetting that he's playing. A common way I see scum win is by avoiding being noticed.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=demonlord5000Wut? Ozzy's power is completely impossible to prove until after he's dead. It does perfectly explain the suspicious stuff that Cavedog was focusing on... maybe a little too perfectly actually.
Ozzys power is easy enough to prove so...

so...what is the sacrifice for. do you die instead of the person being lynched?
No, I just die if my vote ends up lynching a townie. This means that I have to be ten times more careful with any serious vote I put out there. I would've rather not vote at all, but just voicing opinion, or going along with other people's opinions without voting is not exactly very helpful to the game imo.
uh. i don't understand why that role would be in the game but it's easily testable.
@lockez we just have ozzy be on the lynch each time. if we lynch town and he doesn't die, he's scum.

author=MuffleYeah, it would be extremely unlikely for those roles to actually work. It's like giving someone one-twelfth of a power role. But two different people have claimed their powers work that way, so it seems like it's probably the truth.

All we need is for ozzy to commit to a lynch. If we hit scum, all good and no loss from not voting for ozzy right now. If we hit town, and ozzy doesn't die, then he is an easy day 3 lynch. We didn't lose anyone night 1 and with this amount of players I see no harm in leaving him be as long as he commits to whoever we decide needs to die.

I guess one way to clear him would be to force him to always be on the lynch, and if he refuses or he's not dead after a mislynch we kill him.
But he could just be trying to buy scum some time by trying to postpone his lynch until tomorrow. And even if he isn't lying, it sounds like clearing him would leave us two town down in one swoop, so that's very suboptimal too.

Yeah, Muffle, this game appears to be unnecessarily convoluted. If Jeroen and demon are on the up and up, then it really strikes me as someone trying to balance a badly broken mechanic.
personally i think that's just a bad fakeclaim but it's so easy to test that there's no reason not to.

Basically, I still think Ozzy is scum, and if he isn't, I'd rather mislynch Ozzy than mislynch someone else and also still have Ozzy die.

I can agree to that, it's the only logical conclusion. My point against Cap still stands though. If the group comes to another consensus, I don't have much of an option other than to vote what they want me to.
i wouldn't. it's not like we're going to intentionally mislynch someone we think is town.
just not sure who i want that person to be yet.

Tman doesn't understand a joke when he sees it.
Okay, so, the reason why Tman looks so good is because he literally has only made five posts since the game began. He's also clearly not playing bad town like Esby.
So...

Why so quiet?

Here's my list so far:
Live
Demonlord - Roleclaim essentially confirmed by Jeroen.
Jeroen - Very believable roleclaim.
Cavedog - Way too helpful to be scum, and I really liked his annoyance in his very pure moment of narcissism.
Muffle - She seems self-conscious, apologetic, embarassed any time she does something she perceives as "wrong," and she's trying really hard not to mess up. This matches her behavior when I've played Pathfinder with her. I feel kind of rude explaining it this way, but I don't think there's anything dishonest about her whatsoever.
Pianotm - Seems legit so far. Everything he's claimed about what happened to him overnight has been backed up by other people. He might still be scum, but so far I think he's been honest about everything.
Die
Esby - I legitimately just hate his play style. I can't point to anything scummy he's doing, but I also can't point to anything helpful he's doing. Based on past games, I never will be able to do either of those things, even if he survives to lylo.
I guess Ozzy is testable. I don't really have a read on anyone else.

i agree that esby must die. I do not particularly want to lynch him, though, because he is a really easy target for the gunners to agree upon, without speaking, and murder tonight. the only problem with this plan is that it advertises our actions to the scumteam so if they have a roleblocker, that's a problem, but, whatever.
I agree, leave esby to the firing squad. I'm still shifting through my thoughts on who my next target should be. I can pretty much agree with lockez list. As for tung, I think hes likely to get modkilled because he hasn't spoken at all this day phase.
I think our most likely choices are either yellow or cap.

I can get behind a "speak up or die" lynch. Five posts on day one was fine. Zero posts on day two, a day in which we've had three role claims so far and are more than 24 hours into, is substantially less fine.
