[MAFIA] PROBLEMS AT THE PRECINCT.
Posts
I'm not back home yet due to some unforeseen issues, but I do have access to Wi-Fi.
...That's one of the problems, Muffle. I don't have any thoughts that may be useful.

Back home, read the thread. Not much to really change my mind, except:
I don't like this tapdance from cap to get a vote onto Muffle, especially that last post https://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/23893/?post=855923#post855923 which I do not follow at all.
I'm also debating how useful it'd be for Muffle to just claim, seeing as she's already said she has some sort of role.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The lack of mod posts with timer/vote updates is throwing me off a bit and making it seem like time isn't passing, so in case any of you are like me, please note there are less than 20 hours left.
It really bothers me that oddrabbit has now twice in a row ignored me calling him out. The second time I was calling him out for having already ignored me calling him out, and he ignored that too, posting only "I don't have any thoughts that might be useful." I didn't think my original reasoning against him was particularly good, but he's not playing the game or interacting with any other players at all, and that's severely concerning.
So to me it's between Oddrabbit and Cap_H right now as the two people I want to vote for.

Also, Gourd should post WAY more. It's more understandable for him because he's a replacement, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a problem.

I'll talk more about why LockeZ is probably the independent after I get off work
First, I'm making the assumption that the Independent's win condition is to be the last to survive, and so benefits from town deaths.
Demonlord said that he was targeted by an independent investigator for questioning, and he laid out exactly what the role does.
author=demonlord5000
So I was targeted by the independent interrogator last night. His role basically lets him ask me questions during the night phase, prevents me from using my power, but also prevents me from getting killed. He was also made to use the name interrogator so I'm not completely sure who it is. He seems to be more town aligned than scum aligned, so I wouldn't worry about figuring out who the independent is I think.
I didn't really know what to make of this at the time so I've just ignored it till LockeZ posted.
author=LockeZ
For there to be no kill last night, the scum kill and the doctor would've had to target the same person. If there's a doctor, they surely targetted either themselves or demonlord, since his was the only role claim and it's an important role. So to me that makes it pretty likely that demonlord's role claim is real.
The only way he could be scum is if he intentionally didn't use his scum kill last night just to avoid drawing suspicion to himself. And if that were the case I think he would've pointed this logic out himself. Which... is exactly what he did. He preemptively suggested that he was protected last night, and that there was probably a doctor, before anyone else could suggest it. If I were scum that's exactly what I'd do. Especially since, in the pre-game discussion about the rules, Jeroen specifically planted the idea in everyone's mind about ways to use no-killing to your advantage.
Mind you, I don't think demonlord is scum, but I just want to point out that he's not "confirmed town."
Is there a doctor in play? I dunno. Nor does LockeZ obviously. But he makes the assumption that there must have been one despite demon saying the interrogator is a jailer-type role.
So my thoughts here are basically "Why doesn't LockeZ trust demonlord?" I think its because, if he jailed demon, he might have done it intentionally to make this very post. He wants to give some semblence of credibility to a demon lynch if its necessary. An independent has to think long term, even if we catch all the scum.
Most importantly of all: The fact that the night action jailed demon served a double whammy of preventing demon from using his gun from blowing LockeZ's head off. There's no guarantee he would have done that, but he was suggesting a Locke/piano team and better safe than sorry. Its a savvy move and LockeZ is a savvy player.
Despite what demon said we need to worry very much about who the independent is. This is just a theory and I'm making a lot of assumptions. If its not LockeZ then it could be literally anybody....
Also scum is either Cap or Gourd and I'm going with Cap. Those are your only two options today people so get to theorizing.

Could you link the times you called me out? I'll try to respond to them the best I can.
Something I totally forgot about but remembered just now: I thiiiink if we catch all the scum and town wins then the game's over and the independent's chances are shot. It would benefit whomever it is to not hop onboard a correct lynch, not that they would know who scum is.
Muffle said the role itself was useless, so I don't see any negatives to her claiming. It will would give us something more to analyze since she is my 3rd pick to lynch. I can't see scum going after her either when we have so many people that are extremely likely to be town.
If it can't help us either way, at the very least it might help town read you so we vote on the right people. I'd wait for more opinions on this before claiming though.
Caps argument hasn't done anything to convince me. If anything, I think hes trying harder to get our votes off of him than he normally would.
I'm not even sure if I have played any games where it had a true survivor independent, so perhaps I am wrong about ignoring the independent. Most games I've played they just have to live to the end regardless of who wins, and the power in this particular game felt more helpful to town than it does to scum to me.
I'm also suspicious of gourd because he posted like early on when he subbed, and then poofed from existence from this game.

@oddRABBIT:
There was this first time and then this second time. The first time I was initially calling you out about your wanting to screenshot your PM and about all the discord shenanigans. As I said in the second post, I made it out to be a bigger deal than I actually thought it was, in order to try to provoke you into responding and saying more, just in case I was wrong and it really was a big deal. Telling me that you'd resolved it privately with the moderator, or just telling me to fuck off, would have been a perfectly fine response. But the fact that you just acted like I said nothing and then proceeded to post nothing for the next 18 hours is concerning. When you finally did come back you simply voted for piano with the very unsatisfactory explanation "I guess I'll vote for the person with the highest vote count." And the fact that you have only made one or two substantial posts all game makes me concerned that the quietness is on purpose, as a scum strategy to avoid drawing attention to yourself.
You are avoiding playing the game.

I guess if your plan was to bus Pianotm you would have come up with a better reason for the vote, though, instead of drawing attention to the fact that you had no particular distrust of him. Ugh.

Actually I'm just going to go ahead and vote for Cap_H because, of the people I'm suspicious of, he's the one that multiple other people are also suspicious of. Psy, Muffle, Isrieri and Demonlord can't all be scum, so I'll trust the collective.
#lynch Cap_H
I think we're one vote away from hammer now.

So should I claim, then? I mean, it's not the most useful power role but it's also not a huge threat to scum, I would think.

I see. For the first time, I think you yourself were confused. I apologize for never explaining it to you, but as I've said before, I wasn't planning on screenshotting my role PM. I was planning on screenshotting the DM Jeroen sent me on Discord to show everyone that "Hey, this is basically completely unrelated to the game.", and it should be ignored seeing as it's just distracting us all.
The second time, I'm confused by. If you look back at most all of my games, at least on Day 1, I'm incredibly indecisive about who to vote for, and have resorted many times to just voting for what everyone seems to be voting for.
Also, a bit off track, but "You are avoiding playing the game." is an amazing quote.
Muffle, I don't think it's a good idea for you to share your role.

I don't think you're in danger of anything bad happening if you don't claim, Muffle. So I guess only do it if you think it's the kind of power that becomes more powerful if other people know about it?
If it's an information-gathering role, wait to claim until you have useful information that you think people can act on. If you're a miller, then claim ASAP. If you're almost anything else, probably you don't want to claim unless you're on the verge of death, lol.

No, it's hammer unless someone changes. If the day ends in a no lynch and the person I voted for only needs one more vote then they'll be lynched off anyone. I'm a mayor type deal, basically, my vote counts as two - but it only works at EOD, so the hammer doesn't really apply here I guess.
