You're magical to me.

Yanfly is retiring, and I just wanted to give him a fond farewell as he leaves the RPG Maker community.

Thank you so much for your many years of service. You've done so much for so many of us and allowed our games to shine even brighter. You've worked tirelessly for years.

Thank you again and again for your dedication to RPG Making and everything you've done. We'll miss you very much.

On a personal note, I want to say that the vast majority of everything I've made since joining RMN has had Yanfly's scripts in them, helping me along the way and making the RPG Maker experience just that much more enjoyable, flexible and nice. So many things I wanted to implement were made possible by his scripts and plugins, and I owe him a big debt of gratitude.

I'm not sure what I can say now that he's retiring, so I'll just say it again: Thank you, Yanfly. We'll miss you.
I'm only now getting into wanting to make games but have been following many, many projects that have used Yanflys works and...it's clear that he really had an impact on this community.

I can tell you'll be missed but far from forgotten, Yanfly. And I hope that whatever you do next finds you well, and that you succeed <3

Much love, Yanfly ~
I’ll keep this short and sweet.

Thank you Yanfly for your decade, if not more, of service to the RPG Maker community.

You’ve been a key player, if not THE key player, in making it what it is today.

Thank you.

Every game I make has Yanfly in it.

This place just won't be the same without you.
Yanfly, you're a boss. Thanks for all the hard work, and take care of yourself. :)

*claps* Yanfly is a fantastic scripter and has been a huge part of making the most of RPG Maker projects. From ones who dabble with a couple of his scripts, to those who have integrated numerous features from them, the vast majority of us have a reason to be grateful for all his work over the years.

Thank you for your hard work for so long, Yanfly. You've earned your retirement and have shaped so much of a lot of RM users and their games.
Without Yanfly's scripts, none of the games I've made or are making would have been possible. Definitely used many of his scripts for what I've got for TRASH PLANET so far. It's a bummer to see him go, but I get that it's best for him, and considering everything he's been through, I'd probably do the same thing.

It's a little sad to hear that he's stepped down, but, I'm not going to begrudge him for it. All I can really do is tip my hat, and give him a heartfelt thanks for what he's done for the community.

I don't know what's going to happen with future RPG Maker engines going forward if Yanfly's gone, and that's... kinda what's so sad about this departure. I don't pretend to know how many projects use the message system, or other scripts he made during his tenure. Maybe I'm talking nonsense. However, I just feel there's this... giant gaping hole now, and I don't know how well it will be filled.

I can't say I know anything about the history of Yanfly, or why they are moving in this way, but it's undeniable that Yanfly was a huge influence on the RPG Maker community. Godspeed, Yan.
first scripts to download when starting an RM project. RIP

and this, absolutely.
many rpgmaker games i played especially the longer ones had high chances of having yanfly scripts. I also learned lots from yanfly tutorials. Im sad that they got demotivated by unscrupulous actors, but this furball will always embody the undying spirit of rpg maker, for ever. Thanks.
My games would be pretty much nothing without yanfly. I wish yanfly warm sands on this journey called life. Yanfly will always have free zDS games for life if they desire.
What from what I remember, their stuff was pretty rad.

Sad to see them go, but it's heartwarming that they'll still be using their patreon to help support and advance the community.
Enjoy your retirement Yanfly.

As for the RPGM community itself... well I guess its going to interesting to see what happens when the next version launches featuring no features and theres nobody to make the damn thing worth using.

Part of the Patreon funds is going to a team with h the goal of. taking care of this. I'm not as familiar with Yan exactly, only that he made scripts vital to current devs, but I know he left his mark here. So I say not sayonara but au revoir- "until we meet again."
You're a star, yan! Rest easy, you've left the community in good hands.

Oh noooooo Yanfly gone. Hope they find immense happiness. Thank you for all of that wonderful time that you spent with us. Truly a beautiful gem <3
Hope Yanfly enjoys his retirement with his family. Heh, he's definitely deserved it after all these years of making scripts and plugins. His scripts/plugins are almost always in my projects because they enhance what I can do with the engine tenfold without mucking around in the scripts. Always a plus. (Still do a lot of smol coding in conditional stuff, but its nice to have his frameworks.) Now it's time for the new peeps to take up the mantle and keep Rpgmaker going for another decade. Super Nessy time! (Nessy hire plox, not rlly tho, but maybe)
