You know, i almost returned this game to the store. I am soooo glad I didn't.
These bosses are getting rapetastic, though. Giga Gaia wasn't too bad if he doesn't wreck you in the first few seconds, especially since the arms could be killed with one Triple Strike from Crono, frog and Robo. The Golems, however, are a tad difficult.

The Golems aren't so bad if you know the trick to beating them--namely, getting all your characters to wear armor that protects against an element (Fire armor's the easiest to obtain en masse, since you'll probably have had trouble collecting all the elemental Vests and Mails by that point, at least on your first playthrough), and only attacking them with that element.

For me, Giga Gaia was never much of a problem. The Golems were the only boss that barred me for more than two fights. I suppose that's what I get for trying to beat them in a straight up muscle contest.

I always used water against them because water magic sucks.
That's what I did. Frog sends them into using water magic than uses water dual techs to actually do damage. Third guy uses items when required.
Giga Gaia was a party-hitting triple tech that could one shot the arms. I think it was Chrono/Robo/Ayla. I don't think I was overlevelled but I probably triggered every invisible encounter in Tyrano Fortress twice so :I
Also Robo + Apocolypse Arm + Dragon Tear = Murderbot. I think he got the biggest power jump in CTDS
