SAVES

I know a lot of people get mad at this subject but for me I truly don't understand this problem. For me most saves on rpgmakers are easy to find. Most of the time they are in folder in game sub-folders like data, www, or simply a folder called save. There are however a few times games that save and when I go to look for them in the game files they are not there. I know that with some platforms they go to a cloud to store them and I have read and seen videos where some pc games go directly to windows folders( users, saved games) still can't find them. Infact most of time the saved games folder is empty.
I guess if its ok I give a game I got on here to test out a demo and give it as a reference point. The demo is (Revere). I open the game file. Play its game application. Save twice. Shut it down. Go back to the main game folder. It has sub folders: locals, mapshot, and www. Main folder has no save files so I go to sub-folder: locals. Just PAK files. Next I go to Mapshot folder. Just PNG files. Lastly I go to WWW folder. (which is where the save file is most of the time). I won't bore you with all the sub folders with this because most of the time its in folder data or js on rare occasions. Data folder has a lot of JSON files but no save file. JS files have JAVAScript files. JS. So looking through all these folders. Still not seeing the 2 saves I saved on the game.
Any help is appreciated. I only know the basics of computers and games so most of my learning has been forums or internet how to videos. I hope someone will help and please have patience with me. Things eventually sink in for me. Thank you.

It's marked as a commercial game so it's highly likely that the game has hidden the save files so they can't be edited or messed with in any way. Most commercial games have some kind of protection against editing of the data - whether that be save file data or internal data in order to protect the game from thieves and the like.
I'd recommend asking on the game page of the game itself to see if that is the issue.

Game designers give or restrict access to save and save files to build the desired game experience. The most extreme unconventional use of save in an rpgmaker game was done in Oneshot. It fitted the game intention of being able to play it only once.
In MinST, I'm very open about save files: they share the same format as map files and thus can easily be edited by the in-game map editor. My intention is to give the player full control over his/her game experience by adjusting the difficulty or undo his/her mistakes.
In Red Balloon of Happiness, the game saves your progress in a very concealed way. The intention here is to give the player the right amount of guidance at the appropriate time.

Irog you should write a tutorial in how to manipulate save files on rm. Everything you say is new grounds for me and sounds interesting.
I get that somethings are issues for copyrights or even that they want to make money off the sales of the game but for me it's a matter of time and patience. I've played rpg and rpgmaker games all my life so I know the grinding levels all to well. I also know the topping out system all to well, for me the frustrating thing is the timed events. I will give an example. I won't give the name just know it's part of a series and has Elements in the name. There is a part where there is a giant snowball chasing you and each mistake brings it closer. I tried several times to get through this part. I am not sure if its age or just never had quick reflexes but I've had to put up several games like that. A point of either pass it or don't move on. There's one on here that you have to drive a car in a race and can't work the corners fast enough. Super great games just really bad reflexes. Would love to bypass and finish the game (true could ask my son to help get past the part) but its just embarrassing. I guess for some games I will either have to grind or just put them back on the shelf.
Mirak, I would happily share my knowledge about save files manipulation but I've never used any rm. All my games are written in C, thus I had to program the saving functionality from scratch.
For what it is worth, I seem to recall applying a hex editor to a save file for Final Fantasy Endless Nova. However, I only managed to transmute items from one type to another. This generally meant turning cheap stuff that is bought in shops, such as basic Potions, into the game's equivalent of Stat-Stones, or Spell Books. This was a number of years ago, so my memory isn't exactly up to snuff here.
More recently, though, I tried to apply Cheat Engine to my own Baclaye Revolution to mess with Party EXP. I wasn't successful in finding it, but, it now occurs to me that I might have found it if I searched for a float, as opposed to an integer?
