WHERE ARE YOU FROM? A POSSIBLE RMN MEET
Posts
Dude. You have the IQ of a chair.
The post above yours is eight months old. Ergo, this topic was firmly dead.

The powers that be reprimanded told me when I first arrived that topics that have died should stay dead.
I never understood the discouragement of necro-posting, as long as the topic is still relevant it's all good. There has been talk of another meetup anyway.

Not like I care about that. It's here and it's not locked, so why not post? (You, yourself posted something too.) =D
Depends. I am going to be in NorCal for a few more weeks. Then I will travel to SoCal. The Middle East. Then SoCal again. I don't stay in one place for long. :(
I live in "upstate" New York (an hour from the city and quite close to Connecticut also).
I know there was an NP bump to this topic, but are people still interested in this? Where would it be held and what would the lodging situation like? Air-fare/cross country tripping are both pretty prohibitively pricey already, but add (more) hotel fare and we're talking about something impossible for almost all of us, I would guess, so it would be good if somebody or several somebodies could put up a bunch of people. (I don't know if any of you own like, a COMPOUND, though, lol.)
Somebody should make a map with little colored light bulbs showing where RMN members are around the USA.
: )

me too, where you from dawg?
1.) Where do you you live? Is it in or around the United States, where our staff plans to organize the event?
Yup. I live in Louisiana
2.) Would you actually be WILLING to participate in the meet-up? Open to traveling anywhere outside of your own state, even?
Actually, yes I would. I thought that doing something like this would be cool...but I never thought it would ever happen.
3.) Are you older than eighteen years of age? This is an unfortunate cutoff our staff plans on enforcing, for certain practical purposes!
Yup. I'm 20, and if this thing will be happening next year, 21! :)

I'm 21, in Phoenix Arizona, and would not likely be motivated to drive very far. If someone passed through here I'd happily meet up however.
(Unrelated: I heard Winter Park was actually a really awesome place to live! I vaguely planned on going to a school there years back when I was browsing colleges, but the price was pretty mind-blowing. How is it?)
Also, as for getting people together, I think it'd depend on the ratios of who lives where, like Max said. I doubt very many people are going to hop on a plane and fly across the country if we were to have a sort of New England/New York area meet. I'd imagine the opposite is true, too. Maybe it could be two separate events?
