Nah, I want to go into it completely blind. I highly recommend the game, it's really something, man.

Yeah, it looks cool as hell. It has the most realistic facial expressions I've seen in a game.
Yeah, the motion acting is nuts. I mean, nuts. Also from what I understand there are multiple endings depending on how you solve the case(s).

I no longer read reviews from IGN, i find their opinions "strange" to say the least, many reviewers from there bash great games for not having good graphics, and I generally tend to disagree with their opinions.

L.A. Noire dear god oh yes
I saw a documentary on how they were doing the motion acting, pretty interesting :D It really looks really great.
Anyways, since I couldn't decide which game to play, I went and explored the lands of indie rpgs, which resulted in me playing Avernum 6 right now :) VERY fun, the game has a nice atmosphere, and I don't care at all that my characters don't even have a walk animation and just jump from place to place. Great example what developers can do when they don't pump money and effort into graphics, and instead they focus on the gameplay.
Definitely checking the latest game from them, Avadon: The Black Fortress.
played LA Noire today. surprised that i liked it. reminds me of policenauts, which is just about the best accolade i can give it.

this game just referenced clement attlee. it's now the coolest ever.
L.A. Noire is pretty much a disk full of cool. Do people really realize how cool the 40s, detectives, and mysteries are?

Finished playing Portal 2, single player at least. I was surprised how damn funny it was. Wheatley stole the show.

author=Feldschlacht IVI got this. It's pretty damn good- very immersive, and very realistic. Admittedly, some things don't quite work as well in a game about cops as they did in GTA; but some bits get better(I mean, running while next to people sends them flying, which is stupid, but it's pretty great how you just walk up a car and say "I'm a police man" and they'll hand you their car, no questions asked.)
