You do a pretty decent job of avoiding tile vomit. A real standout from the 23958723 other cliff map screenshots.

Looks like a pretty good (and long) To Do List. I've got no complaints here.



One of these days I'm going to have a house built with a room like this.

Tile vomit is an unfortunate side effect of the vaunted "3-tile rule." It's where you randomly place all sorts of little rocks, tufts of grass, logs, and other various ground clutter just to make the map look busy. That's not how nature works and that's not how your maps work. :)

Is this battle system going to show animations of the characters when attacking? or are you going Full FPS this time around?
In terms of that battle system I would prefer an FPS view simply because I really was not a fan of the little characters running up to attack the enemy.

Haha, oh yesss... I totally prefer FPS over charasets in battle. Not that I really hate them, I just think that they are too little, unless you use FF monster rip offs.
And yet another video. This one will probably be the last of the videos until I come along a wee bit more in terms of actually developing the game. I got the beginning portion done, but I've still got a great deal to do.

Haha, oh yesss... I totally prefer FPS over charasets in battle. Not that I really hate them, I just think that they are too little, unless you use FF monster rip offs.

The only time the charasets in battle is when you attack with your person, but other than that, it's first-person.

This look was born completely out of laziness (I just didn't feel like making charasets anymore), but I think it turned out okay.
