I think what was meant by "honor system" here is that the rule wasn't enforced but it's generally polite to follow a rule/request even when there isn't anything stopping you from breaking it.
It's not polite, it's pandering. It's only polite if you genuinely believe the game you're voting for deserves to win.
I wasn't referring to the rule itself or how "honorable" it is to vote for yourself or not.
The term "honor-system" means that you follow the rule even if nothing is making you do so. Example:
"Would everyone only take one slice of cake? We're on the honor system here but we don't have all that much cake to go around."
Taking two slices of cake is neither honorable or dishonorable. (Potentially glutinous, yes, but not dishonorable.) But the person serving cake is not going around measuring out how many slices everyone gets, or monitoring who has finished a slice, so the people at the gathering are on the "honor system." This means they can follow the rules even when there is no one to force them to do so, or they can take another slice of cake.
The people who vote for the Misaos are, currently, on the "honor system" because there is nothing stopping them from voting for themselves except for a request not to do so.

With this system what is "honorable" is following the rule, NOT THE RULE ITSELF, because the assumption is that everyone else will be following it as well. It doesn't matter what the rule is - if it is that everyone must bark like a seal when voting for the Misaos, it is still on the "HONOR SYSTEM" because NO ONE IS ENFORCING IT.

Okay. AS A STAFFER I SAY THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH VOTING FOR YOUR GAME.
Let us talk about something else, okay? Like, what have people voted for? Or something.

It is perfectly legit to vote for your own game.

@Dudesoft - go back to making shitty cross-overfangamesparodies of Kingdom Hearts and other gay RPGs /polite
Made them for my offline friends, and uploaded online for shits and giggles.
EDIT:
RPG Maker is so last week for me and my friends. Don't take that the wrong way.

They will be done when they are done. Stop whining.
It already states that they'd be shown the week after.
One must be careful when releasing the Misao results, with the wrong hand it could destroy several interweb communities.
The results are in folks. Please view and comment on them here: http://www.rpgmaker.net/news/44/
