Stop that. RM* is the antithesis of coding. XP/VX isn't a viable argument because most people don't know how to code! Your "logic" argument is flawed because, well, logic isn't application. :<
I disagree. I'm no master coder but when I was learning, say, Javscript (for a college level class, but I didn't really stick with it and have probably now forgotten most of what I've learned), what I had learned from RM Eventing helped me IMMEASURABLY and put me ahead of the rest of the class (the ones who didn't know javascript going in, I mean) because I knew what a freakin' variable was.
So I totally disagree that RM is the antithesis of coding because eventing and coding use very similar kinds of logic/brain activity, the only real difference is that eventing has a GUI and coding doesn't have a GUI and is harder and less user friendly. But what you are saying is kind of like saying that a Windows user doesn't know how to use a computer, but a Dos/Unix user does. I mean, that is not a perfect analogy, but what I'm getting at here is that the MAIN difference between advanced eventing and coding is the presence or absence of a GUI.
I agree with what Max is saying completely.
I'm taking a C++ class right now and I am at the very top, thanks to RM. I know about variables, switches, if/else conditions... while everyone else is struggling.
