EDIT: By the way, It's called "pop" here. Not soda.

"Soda" is so Archie Comics.
It's "soda" in the american east coast, and places in the west coast.
It's "coke" (yes COKE) in the american south,
and "pop" in the midwest, great lakes, mountain regions, and anywhere else.

post=94050Funny thing is, I come from that central red region of Indiana, but unless I'm talking straight about Coca-Cola, I usually pronounce it as soda. Then again, I was born in Illinois...
I have a diagram of that somewhere, let me look for it...

Everyone I know here in Washington calls it soda.
Yeah I think the influence of soda is spreading. I wonder what encompasses "Other." I'm thinking fizzy juice and sprinkly drops.
