For me to play a game on an emulator for a longer time it has to be really, really engaging while working on the keyboard setup. The second "RPG" I'll beat on an emulator will hopefully be that bloody Ogre Battle game. It's so awesome yet I never get far enough in it.

I gotta stop forgetting games I tried.... add that to my "unbeaten" collection.
I don't remember if I listed it or not, but I also beat (and enjoyed) Quest 64. Totally rockin' battle system.

duude, i was obsessed with quest 64 back in the days when i was about 14 haha, its the main influence for a game i was making with rm2k3, Ogre slayer. I loved it, lol catching the spirits, the battle system and the whole theme of magic, and the fact that the hero is a magician too, since half the rpg heroes always have a sword lol.

I remember getting to the 2nd last place before i moved on to other things. Never really beat the game.
too bad, allow me to spoil the game a little... sharon, the girl that appears at every inn, is a doll created by the last boss of the game, it all connects in the end.

Funny thing is that it was one of the only games i never beat on the 64. One day i might play the game again and attempt to finish it.

R u serious? I guess I'm just too lazy to make my characters stronger. I even have to Strategy Guide, LOL.

The final boss is show-stoppingly brutal. It's an awesome fight though. I think I was stuck at that point for several months and had to keep going back to the game before I managed it.

Actually, 7th Saga is a game I would rent constantly when I was younger but could never get through. It was just far too demanding for me, being eight years old or whatever.
