I seem to recall there was a tool out there for RM2k/3 that could export map files as .bmps, just as they appear in-game? I did a full wipe and system restore a few months ago, and now I don't have this program. Anybody remember what it was called/where I could find it?
I think this is what you're after:
LMU2BMP: http://cherry1.ch.ohost.de/rpg2kdev.exe
LMU2BMP: http://cherry1.ch.ohost.de/rpg2kdev.exe
It's pretty slick, but it does have trouble with auto tiles (and areas where you used Shift to place tiles)
Thanks a million! You have no idea how much time this saves me. :D
EDIT: I hate to say this, but I uh... Can't get it to work. I run rpg2kdev.exe and I see a command prompt window flash across the screen for a split second, and then nothing.

Put it in the main game folder and THEN run it. It will not work with protected games (that "map tree data break" shit). Once it's on enter desired map ID. You only need to enter the number, not the whole file name, so if you want to export Map0001.lmu you simply input "1" and press enter.
It will not export panoramas.
