OVERSEXUALIZATION OF FEMALES IN GAMES

I believe guys over-think writing dialogue for women. The tendency is to either jump right into the male/female dynamic by establishing that ever-necessary sexual tension, or to Mary Sue her into the object of unwavering desire.
With this being said, a lot of gamers are males after all and nobody would really care for a bad looking or normal looking main/not character unless he's badass. :(
While talking to my composer, he suggested that for the main character I should make her breasts twice as big as her normal ones and more sexualized, this defeated the purpose of having an interesting character that is not based on looks but personality. I also got a suggestion from another source to make the other main male character more good looking as well because he doesn't look like a main character and it won't reel in as much female audience.
But with that said it is clearly seen that people prefer good looking boys/girls than normal looking ones. Because of money issues and business, we can clearly see why they tend to "oversexualize" characters. Lol this is so obvious now it hurts :(
Also it doesn't matter where society you live in, EVERYONE, artist, designer, story writer or a normal person, loves good looking or "pretty" boys or girls, you'd be lying if you are ONLY INTERESTED IN UGLY and or FAT GIRLS/BOYS. It's human nature.
humans like to bang, games like this are written and played by humans, what's so hard to accept about that?
and anyway, unattractive characters aren't appealing or compelling. that only works in true literature, something games are not.
the nerd thing doesn't matter; just as you have dorky dudes writing overly idealized characters, you have everyone else out there chasing after what they deem attractive.
idg this thread, it's really some NEWS AT 11 shit.

post=99249post=99217Well, since FAT BOYS make up 90% of this site's demographic, it makes sense that they don't want to settle for their own kind!

I like using female characters and having female leads in my games. I usually base characters on people I know, usually personality wise and looks wise. I had someone comment that most of my female characters are busty, and I'm like "Yeah, so are the people they're based off of". I usually work in an Island setting as well so I can't have tons of clothes on the character, but I still try to make it feel casual rather than just putting them all in bikinis. For one of the characters, I referenced the clothes the person was actually wearing for it. In one case, it was a girl who redesigned a character of mine to be wearing less. It's a hard thing since I'm not a good writer, but I want the people to feel like real people and not RPG stereotypes.
Also, why isn't the troll banned yet?

The other funny thing is that, the person who suggested stuff to me are good looking people as I've seen them in RL as well. It was just so funny.

There is no troll. You're too sensitive. People like you squeal about anything they find disagreeable and label someone with the term "troll" like it's some trend or something.
