1) instawin is not guaranteed- i've had more luck with blackbird in terms of being the 'sensitive guitar guy.'

Really? It's ridiculous because these are things you learn from experience. A topic can't teach you to get an idea of people's character/approachability by looking at them, to asses a situation, to reply accordingly and it definitely can't give you the high self-esteem you feel when you've successfully woo-ed your object of affection. And anyway, most of what is written here is common sense repeated over and over again. Plus this topic was turning out to be an analysis of the combined stereotypical traits of girls.
And anyway, I know I don't have the guts to approach the people I like even though I know how to. So topics can't give you guts either.
I'm not saying a topic on RMN alone can teach anyone anything by itself. I'm just saying that some of the general ideas given "allow the girl to talk about herself", "don't be intimidated", "don't be too nice" are, like you said, common sense stuff. If you're too chickenshit from jump street to talk to someone you like, an internet topic won't help you. But on the other hand, I'd wager that from the number of people who have absolutely no luck with the opposite sex and have no idea why, common sense advice won't exactly hurt as a refresher either.

This topic is not common sense for everybody, not every guy knows this about girls.
Those are the guys i'm trying to help.
The guys that just don't understand the BASIC facts.
You don't just grow up knowing about girls, You learn it from role models.
Some guys just don't have role models and thus don't know these facts yet.

It doesn't matter who approaches who and girls can approach a guy without coming off as easy. It depends on what the chick wants, really.
Anyway, I'm not sure if you'll need the advice I'm gonna give you, but if you ever want a guy to approach you cross your legs, toy with your hair, look his way regularly and smile slightly at him if/whenever your eyes meet.

If you want women to approach you, draw in public. On the bus or a similar place especially. It's worked for me since before I was old enough to be into girls.

No i've never put women on a high pedestal. But in my opinion they are they ones that are meant to be chased.
