What I'm giving:
I'm getting my parents a desk to replace their dilapidated piece of crap desk that is literally held together by packing tape.
I bought my brother a good cordless mouse for his Netbook and something called a Futura Laptop desk (w/Mouzpad) that's supposedly pretty good.
Christmas shopping is easy when you're a recluse.
What I'm getting despite what's on my wish list -
Some useful(?) trinkets, a new hard drive or a printer from my brother; the only one who seems capable of getting me a decent gift. My mother most likely bought me a Wii game; despite the fact that I'm completely unable to play my Wii due to it being lent to my parents for the foreseeable future. (Broken Television).

My household is going through some financial troubles, and the rest of our family is either completely not close or dead, so no gifts for me this year. I mean, they're nice to get, but I sort of grew out of it in middle school, being the oldest of a bunch with a single mom raising us, I'd much rather see my little sisters get something than me.
With that said, I would like to get them all something this year, they've had a pretty bumpy year and they deserve something. We all never expect anything, though. I just like to spend time with my folks, and with everyone getting older, that's a real present.
I mean all of that sounds pretty Hallmark cardy and cheesy, but seriously, that's what Christmas is about to me.

My parents will give me money. I'm not sure what I'm getting the wife, and I have no idea what she's giving me. g
christmas stopped being about gifts a long time ago for me. now it's about the food (my dad is an awesome cook) and spending some totally awesome time with my family.
so i can definitely dig where you're coming from, mog. and unless you have some obscene number of siblings, getting something cool (albeit not necessarily huge) for each of them would be both feasible and awesome. :D

Actually, I usually enjoy Thanksgiving more than Christmas. Ever since my parents starting the DON'T EXPECT MANY PRESENTS THIS YEAR BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ALOT OF MONEY thing, I always had that mindset.
But, seriously, I just REALLY like Thanksgiving because I enjoy being a glutton with all the food. God, I love Thanksgiving...

This actually SHOULD be the case in my household. My mother is on unemployment right now and I specifically told her/them that they didn't have to get anything...
Of course, this is the same woman who was working a temporary assignment for two years and was suddenly shocked to find out they didn't need her anymore.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting cheap used bookstore Yukio Mishima novels from my parents, since that's all I asked for from them. Though a new sweater and some socks might be just as nice. But the big gifts are going to New York City over New Years and going to Spain and France during the summer. And I get to watch Audrey Hepburn movies with my mother, blaxploitation movies with my brother, Whose Line with my other brother, and Camelot with my dad. :D

Got a new Laptop already so I'm not sure what else I need. I just want my family together and happy, its been different but relaxing since Ive been home. Also Final Fantasy XIII

i already got a laptop also, my main christmas present was a military style jacket which is beautiful :D i also got a lot of chocolate, as per, some books, and instead of socks this year, tights, which is a slight step up i like to believe. Though they don't say the days of the week unfortaument.
Haven't opened any more yet, i'm too busy eating everything i can see.
