AUTHOR NAME BENEATH TITLE
Posts
I feel the same way, although I don't think I'd mind as much if it were gone. I don't see how blog posts could accurately represent the game as nice as a short, concise description does.
Well the description will still be on the page somewhere. I just feel like the blog should be much more prominent than it is.

Please do not lift the names. I like how my gamepage looks and I do not want to mess around with it anymore.
Wow, I've always wanted to play a remake of 404 not found.

it's like a vengeful ex girlfriend that you dumped for someone less vapid
no no i found her passed out because i am a prince or some shit
I think I figured out the main reason why I requested this: when I'm browsing through a game's images, I can never tell who posted them. I always scroll up and find the game's title, then look underneath wondering where the author's name is. And sometimes it's just so I know whether the person who's commenting on the image after me is the author or not, you know?
There's just so many games to keep track of!

If an author comments, their post box is a different color. Notice on how this blog post http://rpgmaker.net/games/1512/blog/2041/
My comment box is a different shade in the background.
Also, putting all the author's name on the image pages would be super impractical... My game has a team of 7 people and having them all listed at the top description on the images page or the game listings would not fit well... Not to mention community shit like Befuddle Quest.
Then can we at least make the background color more outstanding? I never saw the difference between posts, and can hardly see them now even after you told me.
Seven names would be impractical, but surely all seven of you didn't upload the game at once? Whoever's in charge should be the lead author, thus their name should be listed.

They're all on equal terms, flash. What then, hm?
That comment box is a fairly light shade of brown... and on other gamepages the background of the comment box is orange.
And our game has no specific lead author, everyone is set as a lead.

Seriously? Man I'm sorry if this comes off as an insult but are you by chance blind?

clearly you have missed the point of having a team project.
Wait a sec, tardis, are you saying that all of you did in fact upload the game at the same time under each of your accounts? o_0 Excuse me if that comes as something of a surprise.
Okay, supposing that all seven of you are lead (space must be tight up there), then I admit that that would be an issue. See, normally, a project has an executive in charge of production--in this case that person would be the one who uploaded the game and is updating the gamepage with their account. That person would be the author to be listed under the game's title at all times. However if ALL of you are THE ONE AND ONLY executive producer, I am simply baffled and can say nothing further.
Since my main issue (with the inconvenience of not putting an author's name beneath their game's title) doesn't seem to be coming off as an "issue" at all to the rest of you, I suppose I'll digress if arguments like these continue. It is a shame that for all these posts, we didn't even reach a compromise; no offense, but I think that's pretty stubborn. I mean, did my proposals make even the slightest bit of sense? At all?
Eh. You can't beat the sand with a stone.

I submitted the game to the site, but I do not count myself in charge of production. I submitted it first because I had the free time to do so, and that way I could also edit the CSS right away. I would in no way call myself the project leader, because I see everyone on the team as equals. I did not come up with the game concept, I did not do any real graphical work, and I did not really do any writing. While I did other stuff and made many suggestions, a lot of hard work was done by others. It's a team project because it's a joint venture. Infact, equality among team members was one of my main goals when rounding up people for Team Cascade.
It wouldn't have made a real difference who submitted the game first. We all currently have the same powers on the gamepage to make changes and make blogposts. In fact, when adding developers, we joked about setting Malad as lead and everyone else as developers under the users list, since he has been least directly involved in the project thusfar.
I don't think it's a bad idea to do it! Just not too much point, and potentially impractical.

Yeah, I get it, I get it! I know all about teamwork and giving credit where due, believe me, but that's not what I meant to imply. I'm trying to say that it's YOU who uploaded it. Therefore, at least your name should be added beneath the title, if adding all seven names sounds too ridiculous--it's a compromise.
And I disagree with something as simple and convenient as popping in a link being impractical. I've offered examples before--Newgrounds, Youtube, etc. They all do it. Why? Not because it's impractical, but because it's convenient. Sure, RMN at least has the developers' names hidden SOMEWHERE in the vast areas of each game, but having to hunt down that location every time for every one of the hundreds of games is certainly not practical. You can find links to any of the site's features, to gamepages, to voting screens, to blogs, images, and more with EASE. But a link to the developer? A tiny box in the corner of the screen. For crying out loud, would it really be that bad to see your name next to the title of the game instead? Then, no matter where I go on the gamepage, I'll always see the name of the game I'm sifting through AND its developer (or one of its developers, as the case may be). There is nothing impractical about that.
But again, I'll respect everyone's wishes and shut up if the issue just isn't coming through to you. It's not a big issue, by any means--very elementary--so I'll understand if the triviality of it all is what's undermining my points.

No, you're not getting it... I just explained why I didn't want my name until the title even though I uploaded it. And having to hunt down that location? It's the same place on every gampag.
About Youtube... you can't upload videos with multiple people on it, and Newgrounds, submissions are a single page, and you have to scroll down to see the developers just like RMN. :)
