RANDOM ART TOPIC
Posts

Because apparently everyone thinks I suck after the whole "Screenshot Topic" incident, I decided to draw a character design to prove that I'm not a complete loser.
Just wait until this pops up in the "Make me a Sandwich" topic. (Although personally, I don't think this is over-sexualized.) The only thing "sexy" in this picture is the whip and the horns, but that's not an issue because she uses a scythe in-game and ram horns are a cultural decoration. (Justified trope? LOL)
A couple of small mistakes here and there, I can't say that I like doing lineart too much, so naturally it's a bit messy. The horns look terrible, and I've never used so many overlays in my life before. Overall though, I'm happy. =)

Is that a guy or a girl?

Guy. Ugh that's it I give up *throws drawing paper everywhere*
Reminds me of a mixture between Giger and Hieronymus Bosch. I like it. Seems a little ill-defined in places but I guess you can get away with that on stylistic grounds.

add some masculine features its a trivial thing to do
Actually it was the lighting on the chest. Looks like lady parts.
Kyrsty you're at the end of a long tunnel. You know what kind of lines you like, but you seriously need to pause and study anatomy. Moreso, study structural drawing too. Then re-apply what you like to draw on what you learned to draw, and morph your style into something more three-dimensional. A lot of your drawings look flat because I don't think you're sketching enough. There's a lot of work to put behind a finished piece; moreso than colour/lighting.

A sample of my work. It's a pretty new pic. I liked it more in lineart as it was more clean. It looses something as soon as I add color. I suck at coloring so it usually ends up this way...
Saya: I like that! However, you should not use her eye color in her outfit. Use different colors so that they pop. I did a version just for fun:

Versalia is right about the eye color. But you don't need to add that opening in the shirt of wich I don't know how to call. It makes her lose her Quistisness ;A;
