MAPPING TECHNIQUES (YES I READ THE OTHER FORUM FROM START TO FINISH)

Actually, I think your new one is a definite improvement from your previous one. Though, I would try and perhaps cut a few of those trees down, or at least add some flowers/other vegetation around to create some more variety (as, in your previous map, there was a larger selection of flora). As it is at the moment, it feels a little cramped, and the player doesn't really have much room to navigate in.
Alright, let's see if I can't strike a happy medium, I'll be back with V3 haha.
Edit: Oh btw Narcodis, it's not discouraging at all. To me blunt advice is better than any other kind of advice.

Ok I felt this one is a bit more sporadic...Which, being a highly (insert logical portion of brain, I don't know it, here) brain person, felt strange, but I suppose that should be the case in nature. Anyway, I felt this time to put some flowers in as you guys suggested, along with some bushes. The biggest addition, was that of the cut down trees in my opinion. I felt, that since a village, regardless of size would need wood for fire and building or what not, they would probably cut down some trees. Thus I put some cut down trees into the environment along with some piles of wood representing what has become of them.
